Introduction
In this paper two artefacts are taken into account first is The Bust of Nefertiti and the second one
is Egyptian Calendar.
The Bust of Nefertiti
Nefertiti’s Bust is adhesive coated and painted limestone chest of the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh
by the name of Akhenaten’s royal wife. This statue is formed with the help of limestone which is
covered from modelled gypsum. The eye of the Nefertiti statue is parquet with crystal and pupil
has connected with the wax which is black colour but parquet of the second eye was not drift out.
This part of the artwork is from the majorly copied work from the ancient Egypt. The work of
Nefertiti has become the ideal for the beauty of the feminine and was one of the memorable
women from the ancient world. (Nefertiti's Bust. 2017).
The Egyptian Calendar
The Egyptian Calendar was discovered around 5000 years ago. Constitutionally the calendar
related to ancient was based on the lunar cycle which has 12 months and had been categorized in
the three seasons which have four months in each in order to deal with the increase and increase
in the Nile water. Because of this, the ancient calendar was known by the name of “Annus
Vagus” which means wandering year. Astrologers of the ancient Egypt has studied the stars that

Common theme
Common thesis in both artworks that is in The Bust of Nefertiti and in Egyptian Calendar is
Gods, Religion and Mythology. Although the people of the Ancient Egypt never had an accurate
word for art but the inspirable beauty of that time. However, at the time of the ancient, people
have established status, architectures, murals, sculptures and many different types of arts.
Diverse works of art and craft from the Egypt are now also present in the world of contemporary
because of the booming material such as stones, clay and deserts of hot air which have been able
to protect the arts and craft. Most of the works of art and craft had been beginning in the
monument of Pharaohs, queens and another dignity. The Bust of Nefertiti art had been found in
the mining of the city of Amarna during the time period of 1912 whereas, The Egyptian Calendar
had been erected in the first regiment of the Pharaoh. (What Were the Themes of Egyptian Art?
2017).
Both of the art that is The Egyptian Calendar and The Bust of Nefertiti are of the similar culture
that is Egypt. In the sculptures of ancient Egypt were treated as symbols of physical of God and
Pharaohs on the planet earth and thus granting the spirit to as long as the statue will occur. Many
types of the Pharaohs and gods were developed for making them eternal, and the statue of the
workers could also be arranged in the coffin because of that they could serve the pharaoh on the
later stage. Also at the time of ancient, Egyptians could able to design or create these types of
statues represents that what all types of knowledge and skills they enchanted at that particular

On the name of God, Religion and Mythology, people in Ancient Egypt were made arts
in order to keep track of the time as they expert in making sculptures and statues.
The Bust of Nefertiti and The Egyptian Calendar become famous in Ancient Egypt.
Audience impact
The audience included that has an impact from this two artefacts, thesis statement and there are
students who are studying the humanities and anthropologists and another researcher who will do
research on Ancient Egypt. This research paper will assist the students who all are interested to
know the history and in depth information related to the Ancient Egyptians and their artifacts or
calendar who are curious to know what has happened in the history and how these arts or crafts
could become famous and also how the Egyptian Calendar become that is the date of 19th July
become the New year date of Egyptians. This research is also useful for the anthropologist and
historians who are interested in investigating about the artefacts and ancient Egypt, and this
research may help them to gain knowledge which can be helpful to them and can become the
basis for their research.
Evidence
The Bust of Nefertiti and in Egyptian Calendar is Gods, Religion and Mythology. The people of
Ancient Egypt used to take Pharaoh’s as their god who are leading on earth, therefore they made
their statues and arts for making them immortal. The Bust of Nefertiti is the example of this
theme as she was ruler and the wife of Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh who named as Akhenaten and
the other one is Egyptian Calendar was also employed for recording the track of the duration of
regime of Pharaoh’s back then. Another common theme of both artifacts is that both were
become famous in the Ancient Egypt.

Personally
I like to study for different types of ancient development. People of ancient times were aware
and using subjects like astrology, in their everyday lives for the growth and development of the
whole Egypt also the theme of calculating time and cultural artifacts that discussed in the
assignment, is related to me personally and I am humanities student, and reading related to
artifacts is in the course only. I found it very interesting to study which is related to the Egyptian
civilization as numerous facts which is based to the civilization have air of mystery, because of
which I like to study about ancient artifacts of the Ancient Egypt.
Studying of humanities
Any new information related to the old artifacts enhances the knowledge of Archaeologists that
will provide base to the better understanding of the humanities. With the help of information of
ancient calendars and artifacts, Archeologists might find how the concept of lunar calendar
came. And also how the calendar become the calendar that modern society uses currently.
Humanities
Various resources that can be utilized for searching the material of Religion, Gods, and
Mythology is Ancient-egypt-online.com. Various information related to the Bust of Nefertiti can
be derived, which will helps the students who are studying the humanities. Ancient History
Encyclopedia is also used to allocate the information for the Ancient Egyptians and their arts and
other source is Archaeological Study Collection which is digital library is used to research the
various facts for the same.

From the time humans existed on planet earth, they have been enthralled with the passing time.
Very little is known about the time kept in ancient times but different types of artifacts and

that stands across the world that were used from ancient civilizations as calendars like
Stonehenge, Pyramids of Giza and that were speculated to have been made for measuring time
