Introduction
Nursing theory or theoretical framework is one of the most important aspects in the care
providence to the patients. The theoretical framework of the nursing should be provided to the
nurses in the period of the education. The theoretical framework development will be important
in the proper health outcome achievement (McEwen & Wills, 2014). On this context the theory
of human caring would be prioritized and the factor of the care should be considering the patient
health outcome. The factor of the nursing care is requiring an aim or approach towards the health
care of the people. Thus the theoretical framework is very much important. In the following
section the theory of human caring would be discussed considering the importance and the
application of the theory.
Overview
Jean Watson is a nursing educator and nursing philosopher who developed the theory of
theory of human caring which also known as the caring science (Watson, 2008). She stated that
the caring is the definition of nursing. This theory highlights that caring science helps in the
positive energy development and this energy flows from the mind and body and to the spirit as
well (Watson Caring Science Institute, 2018). This flow of positive energy helps the patient and
also the nurses. Thus the caring is the primary concern for the nurses and developing the positive
health behavior among the people with negative health conditions. According to Jean Watson
nursing is a professional that focuses on several aspects regarding health care and also providing
support to the diseased people. The factor of the nursing is concerned about the health
promotion, illness prevention, care providence to the sick person and also health restoration. On
this context it can be stated that the process of the nursing should be focused on the health

condition and the health outcome of the patients. Moreover, providing care to the diseased
people and showing empathy and also promoting health in public context. Thus the nurses are
the personnel of the health care system who provide care to the patient with priority and provide
the support to the people with need. The philosophy of caring theory is dependent on the attitude
and knowledge of the nurses. Hence, the process of the caring is dependent on the process of the
continuous caring and patient centered approach of care.
Appraisal
The theory of human caring is states that the nurse should be able to show the authentic
presence and the intentionality for the improved healing condition of the patients. Thus the
concept of the theory is the motivation providence, caring for people with proper and adequate
priority and also providing the process of care with importance to the health condition and
outcome (Purnell, 2018). On this context it can be stated that the theory is dependent on the
patient centered care approach and also holistic framework of nursing. This theory can be termed
as the collective form of the nursing approaches (Baker, 2018). On this context the theory can be
stated as one of the important framework of the nursing and the process of the caring should be
considering the theory as it is the caring science. On the other hand the process of the care should
be focused on the health outcome of the patients and the health promotion as well. Thus the use
of the theory of human caring is required in the nursing care. Moreover, the theory focuses on
the holistic approach of care (Duffy, 2018). Thus this theory of care is needed with proper
consideration. On this context it can be stated that the process of nursing is a science and the
caring is the primary focus of the nurses. Hence, the scientific theory of human caring is one of
the most required theories to be applied in the process of the care.

Application
Theory of human caring is very much positive aspect of the caring and the focus of this
process is to provide the positive care and obtaining the optimum health condition of the patients.
On this context it can be stated that the process of the nursing should be considering this theory
as a theoretical framework of nursing. Hence, the process of the nursing education should be
considering this theory as well. The process of the nursing education should be incorporating the
theory of the human caring and the approach of the scientific care should be followed based on
the theory. The scientific framework of the theory by implementing the positive communication,
empathy and health promotion along with health education in the nursing process along with the
patient centered approach would be implemented with priority (McCormack & McCance, 2017).
On this context the process of care should be focused on the caring and the positive health
outcome of the people seeking care. Hence, the education of the patients would be a factor that
can be implemented with this theory implementation which will be helpful in the negative health
condition elimination. Based on the theory the positivity should be flowed from the nurses to the
patient and that would be helpful in the development of the positive health condition for the
patients along with the community. Moreover the implementation of the theory would be
considered as highest priority for the better outcome achievement for the patients (Nelson, 2018).
Thus the education of the patients would be important factor and contributing in the improved
condition development for the patients and eventually the community people.
Conclusion
Based on the above discussion it can be concluded that the proper caring would be
developed through adequate knowledge and skills of the nurses. Hence, the implementation of
the theory of human caring should be prioritized and the theory would be helpful in the improved

care providence. The scientific approach of the theory considering the holistic approach of care
and also patient centered approach would be implemented for the betterment of the health
outcome of the people. On the other hand the concept of theoretical framework and the
implementation of the theory are very much important in the caring of patients. Moreover, the
positivity of the theory is very much required in the patient caring. Hence, the implementation or
application of the theory should be considered with utmost priority in the nursing education and
the nursing care of the patients as well.
