Running Head: BIO POLITICS AND LEGAL STATUS OF THE ABORTIONS
I. Introduction
Thesis statement: In the era of Bio-politics behind the abortion, relaxation in the
abortion-related laws cannot control population growth.
II. Background
A. Countries like China and India are suffering from the problem of the excessive
population growth; still, both the countries are not in a position to relaxation in anti-
abortion laws because gender discrimination is prevailing in both the societies and
individuals can use this relaxation in the laws to kill the female feticides (Eklund,
2017)
B. A relaxation in abortion-related laws is necessary for many countries because it can
bring down the female mortality during pregnancy. A study done by the researchers gives
us an idea that countries, where they allowed abortion due to unavoidable circumstances,
have lesser pregnancy mortality rate (Milner, 2019).
III. A relaxation in the Abortion laws are required by the population of the world
A. The female mortality rate is increasing across the world
B. Due to the financial reasons and other burdens, couples don’t want a second
child and taboos associated with the abortion forces them to bring a new child
in the world

Running Head: BIO POLITICS AND LEGAL STATUS OF THE ABORTIONS
A relaxation in the abortion-related laws can act as a loophole for the couples that are not keen
on giving birth to a girl child. It is a tactical question that can we expect that relaxation in
abortion laws can support a population control program with great impact.
