Abstract
Human decision making depends on various mutually exclusive factors as characteristics of an
individual, memory capability of a person, the peer's influence on your thoughts, personality of
one, internal factors, biological factors and the Nation you are living in. Information processing
of a person is also affected by practice and experience.
Introduction
Many human making decision has undergone various examination and many are still are in
continuation. Data has been collected by judgment and simple decision-making tasks done in the
laboratories. Many internal and environmental factors are known to influence the decision of
human. Memory ability and limited information processing are included under internal factors
while it is known that the external learning factors such as training can speed up the decision
taking time and more efficiency is expected with this. Positive or negative feedback, stress and
learning effects influence human decision making. These days computer aided systems are also
in a scenario to interrupt human decisions such as task allocation, cognition and recognition of
errors in judgment (National Research Council., 2014). Neurological factors are also important
factors in the decision. Our decision is also dependent on our mood weather we are feeling happy
or sick the fast or the delay, fruitful or bad decisions are the result of that.
Discussion
The idea collected from the various study revealed that the decision could also be overtaken on
the amount or quality of information one can grasp. Representation and availability of the task

positive results, more the appreciation one get from his/her every result more confidently and
accurately that being is seen to take a decision and that too in time. Some of the non-personality
factors also effect the making of decision such as fatigue is known to degrade the cognitive
skills. Less sleep, physical disabilities, stress to complete a task on time leads to taking attention
away from the goal resulting in poor decision making. Thirst and high work load deteriorate the
working ability of the brain. Training and experience improve the timing and decision making
power of a person (Yukl, G. A., & Van Fleet, D. D., 1982). Some personality characteristics such
as emotionally balanced, calm, competitive, social and interpersonal skills, good intellectual
skills, leadership skills, proper planning and problem-solving ability improve the result.
Quantity, quality and the task complexity also imprint a major effect on human decision making.

The above-stated report gives the conclusion that the human decision-making is not based on
single criteria. Personal characteristics talking about the skills of a person and non-personal
characteristics taking the environmental and social consideration into mind constitutively all is
responsible for making the decision. At last the great saying by Mark Twain, an American
novelist and journalist ‘Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making
bad decisions’ tells about the pre and post decision making which should be kept under
consideration. The human decision can speed up, make more accurate and effective with time the
strength of an individual i.e. internal factors and external factors.
