INTRODUCTION
Human resources are considered as an asset of company and performance of employees
directly affect the performance of an organisation. Therefore it is essentially required for
company to adopt strategies and policies in order to develop skills and knowledge of employees
which help them to contribute more to achieve the desired goals and objectives. Human resource
development is the process which helps in developing the overall performance of employees. For
this, company needs to adopt various methods such as training, learning and development
programs which motivate employees to work as a team (Bamberger, Biron and Meshoulam,
2014). Project also covers different approaches and learning styles in order to enhance The
confidence and motivation level of employees. Company named “Sun Court Ltd.” is an
organisation of UK which deals in providing residential services is chosen in the report with
reference to which all concepts related to HRM are discussed.
TASK 1
1.1 Comparison of different learning styles
Sun Court Ltd. is a company of UK which deals in offering residential services to its
clients. There are large number of employees who are contributing their efforts in achieving the
organisational goals and objectives. Thus it is the responsibility of HR manager to adopt various
learning styles in order to improve the overall performance of employees. This will also help in
achieving the desired objectives. It is essentially required for the HR manager to first identify
needs and demands of employees and accordingly apply different styles of learning as per their
specifications(Barney Ketchenand Wright, 2011). A lot of research is needed to be made in
order to understand human mind and the way they follow to operate and collect information.
There are different learning styles which help in developing and improving the skills and
knowledge of employees. Such learning styles are as follows:
Kolb's learning styles: In this style of learning, the employees need to follow four styles which
are based on the combined learning cycle. Four stages are given as below:
Diverging learning style: In this style, people need to first learn and observe and
accordingly implement actions. These types of persons are good at brain and in artistic work.

Assimilating learning style: This involves those person who consider to work in a logical
way. Its main focus is to make research and scientific inventions in order to work in a conceptual
manner (Bolman and Deal, 2017).
Converging learning style: These types of people mostly focus on performing work
practically and they are good in practical problem solving.
Accommodating learning style: These types of persons believe in understanding the
internal feelings and accordingly perform. They generally do not believe in making research and
finding as well as focus on performing work according to the direction given by their internal
thoughts and feelings.
Honey and Mumford's style: In given picture four main learning styles are shown:

Activists: People who want to gain new experience of something within limited period of
time need to follow this style of learning. They prefer to perform various activities but not
comfortable in adopting any specific area of competencies.
Reflectors learning style: These types of persons are showing their interest in collecting

desired objectives (Boxall and Purcell, 2011). These type of people prefer to listen new thoughts
and opinions of other people.
Theorist: In this, people show their interest in improving new theories through
conducting experiments and observations. According to them, they can resolve problems with
the help of logical deviations.

Pragmatics learning styles: In this, the people believe in making new experiments of
new theories and thoughts which can never be implemented before. They are always ready to
face challenges and adopting new opportunities. Sun Court Ltd. needs to improve the skills and
knowledge of its employees through adopting such learning styles which help them to adjust in
any complex situation.
1.2 Role of learning curve & significance of transferring learning to the workplace
Learning curve bring major affect on the learning process of Sun court as it present the
performance record of staff members through which manager able to know the problems faced
by its workers. The times and cost incurred in following learning theories is clearly shown
through learning curve (Bray and et. al., 2012). There are different aim and target which need to
be achieved by company and to achieve this, the manager need to focus on selecting appropriate
styles which brings positive result for business organisation. If the performance of staff members
of Sun court need to improved then it is essentially required to use learning curve which also
considered as more significant. It helps in improving skills and capabilities of employees while
performing their roles and responsibilities and help them in bringing efficiency level in their
work. It is required for manager of Sun court to formulate new and effective strategy and plan
which help their employees to face risk and challenges in an effective and efficient manner.
Significance of transferring learning at workplace: It is important for manager of different
departments to conduct training sessions and learning programs to improve the skills and
efficiency of their staff members (Brewster and Hegewisch, 2017). Discussion made among

is to improve the performance and abilities of employees working in an business organisation. It
provides conceptual and theoretical knowledge. The company always focus on development of

Ltd. such as top, middle and lower level and each level department perform its different roles and
responsibilities. Improving performance of employees directly makes a positive impact on the
performance of business organisation through which they can attain a large market share in

3.1 Prepare an evaluation using suitable techniques
Evaluation is last and final stage of training programs by which the manager get to know that
conducting training programs brings positive result or not. Evaluation is done through collecting
information and feedback from the staff members relating to the process of training programs
(Learning Styles and why they matter, 2011). Therefore it is important for a company to
understand:

It is also important for company to understand the techniques which is used in collecting

programs conducted in Sun court. The HR manager came to know through evaluation that the
performance of employees are improves or not after conducting training sessions and in order to
know the accurate result the manager need to evaluate the skills and knowledge of their staff
