INTRODUCTION
Human resource development are those activities which ensures about the organisational
members are having skills and core competencies in order to meet with the goals of company. It
is the stand alone function which is primary perform with in the human resource management
departments. It is the responsibility of managers to manage all the activities which are
performing by the employees and provide them a proper training and development programme to
achieve the objectives of companies (Crook and et. al., 2011). Through this it will increase the
skills of workers and will able to provide quality of services to customers. In organisation it is
important that to find out the core competencies of employees so that managers can allocate the
task according to their capabilities. At work place it is important to make the strong position with
the employees so that they can retain in organisation for a long period of time.
Present report is based on Sun Court limited which provides the health and care facilities
and services to age of 60+ people. Their aim is provide quality of services to workers and
customers to retain them for a long period of time. Here, different types of learning styles has
been explained. Further the benefits of different training method is discussed.
TASK 1
1.1 Different learning styles
The managers of Sun Court Ltd has to use different kind of learning styles which will
increase the capabilities of employees. Through this the company can achieve their task and
goals with in time period. Every people in organisation has unique and different learning styles.
This learning styles are use because it also improve the communication between two person and
helps them to build a sturdy rapport with them (Daley, 2012). Following are the some different
learning styles which are provided to Sun court limited to their employees.
Visual learners – In this the employees are learning through what are seeing. Through
this the learners will enhance their skills with the help of charts, graphs, images and so on. This
style is more effective because through this the learners will able to see the expressions of others.
Auditory learning - In order to increase the skills of employees this of learning style is
also provided some time. In this the learners can hear the instructions from the audio.
Kinaesthetics learners - In this employees are learning from the gestures, posture or by
experimenting new things through active participation.

Interpersonal learners – In this the employees are learning from other. They share their
ideas, views, opinions with other. Through it will increase their knowledge and skills so that they
can perform the task in appropriate manner.
Sun court residential home limited has to provide the proper accommodation to old age
people. So that they can provide different learning learning styles to staff in order to provide
quality of services to them (Gruman and Saks, 2011). In residential homes there are many people
who are suffering form different problems so that they can use these different learning styles
such as audio, kinaesthetics, visual.
1.2 Role of learning curve
Learning curve is graphical representation which shows the skills of employees at
different stage. This curve shows the relationship between the learning and experiences. The
learning curve is used to suggest about the patterns which are can be used by the organisation.
Sun court limited can measure the performance of employees through this learning curve.
Learning curve is also defined as cost, efficiency or productivity curves. It helps the organisation
in order to identify experience of people from the start to end. On the basis of learning curve the
company can conduct the proper training and development programme to their staff. In learning
curve graph there are three stages slow beaning, steep acceleration and plateau. In slow beaning
stage, the employees learn about the different learning styles. In this they are making little efforts
to increase their skills and knowledge.
In steep acceleration, maturity stage begins (Guest, 2011). Through the efforts of
employees the company can meet out with their goals and objectives. In last stage Plateau, time
and efforts are measured to gain the results about the learning experience.
At work place it is important to understand the importance of transferring learning curve.
It will help the employees to increase their skills and efficiency to provide the best possible of
outcome results. The members of Sun court residential home limited are making lots of efforts to
gain the outputs in appropriate manner. While using the learning curve it improves the efficiency
of employees. It helps the members to understand the total experience about the different styles
which are using by the individuals. At work place it is the responsibility of manager to evaluate
the performance of all the staff so that overall targets can be achieved in efficient manner.

1.3 Contribution of learning styles and theories
In organisation different learning styles and theories are having an important role. As
there are many different such as visual, auditory, interpersonal and many more. These theories it
help employees to understand the whole organisation culture and factors. There are many factors
which are connected with the learning styles such as every employee has unique skills so the
manager has to provide appropriate training and development programme in order to increase
their efficiencies. Using different styles and theories will help the managers to plan and design
the strategies for achieving the objectives of organisation (Hall, Daneke and Lenox, 2010). Sun
court limited has to provide proper training and development programme at work place to
increase the skills and knowledge of employees. Through this they can also identify the needs of
employees. In this organisation there are many people whose age are above 60 years so it is
important to use different learning styles and theories.
Sun court limited has to focus on the needs of customers and abilities of their staff so that
they can provide quality of services to them. It will also easy for them to retain them for a long
period of time. Along with it also improve the growth efficiency of organisation. The manager is
responsible to perform their task in appropriate manner so that they can also allocate the work to
employees in efficient manner. Learning style is also help the employees to increase their skills
and the factors in organisation. Learning style has made some contributions such as it helps the
organisation in planning the learning the learning events through which they can achieve the
targets. It covers all the responsibilities of workers as well as customers so that they can retain in
market for a longer period of time.

2.1 Comparing training needs at different levels
In every organisation training plays an important role. It is key element of human
resource development which also improves the performance of employees. In organisation there
are different departments and it is important for them to provide the training according to
different areas. It the responsibility of managers and leaders of every department or at every level
to monitor the training needs and provide them accordingly (Harzing and Pinnington, 2010). In

diseases. In this organisation there are different departments such as finance, research and
development, information department. The organisation needs skilled and experience worker so
that they can provide quality of services to customers.
Finance – In this the employees and managers has to take the suggestion from the
expertise so that they can make proper decisions regarding to invest the funds in different
sectors. In this the managers has to provide the proper training new and existing employees so
that they can make proper accounts (Hsieh and et. al., 2011). This department is very helpful
because through this the company can maintain the strong position in market in terms of
financials.
Information technology department – In this when the department are using new and
latest technologies then it is the responsibility of managers to providing proper training to
employees so that it will increase their skills and knowledge to perform their task in appropriate
manner. Through this it will increase the efficiency of employees.
Marketing – In this department, it is very important to provide proper training to new
employees. Through this they can build a strong team and improve the efficiency of team
members. The managers has to make appropriate marketing strategies so that they can provide
proper training to employees. Through this the company can target their customers and maximise
the profits.
2.2 Advantage and disadvantage of training needs

methods. Through both the managers can provide proper training to employees. While providing

operated at large level of organisation so they required a numerous employees to provide

the company is spending the large amount of funds to provide a proper training session. On other
side, it will also improve the skills of employees and through that they will completely
understand the vision, mission of organisation. The following are some advantage and
disadvantage of training methods.

plan the proper training and development programme. These approaches are very useful which
determine company interest and job performance of the employees.

organisation to provide the quality of services to people. Here are some benefits of life long
learning which will help the organisation to fulfil their objectives in appropriate manner.
