objective of this article is to analyse the impact of human resource
management on the working efficiency of transport companies. In this article,
author has explained the term human resource management in context with
transport sector. Concept and strategy of Human resource management has
been well defined by considering soft and hard approaches of management.
The aim of this study is to contribute and to facilitate the professional
management to attain the objectives of transport sector. According to the
author, in order to recognise the control of human capitals on competitive
benefits of transport companies, it is required to follow a systematic approach
by evaluating external and internal factors. This study also emphasis to know
the strengths and weaknesses of the transport sector firms for conducting a
strategic analysis. For this research, author used questionnaire method and
research took place by sending the questionnaires on e-mail. During the
research, principles of privacy, secrecy, goodwill and freely participation
were followed. To get statically relevant data, questionnaire was sent to
randomly online selected companies, out of which only 183 companies
replied. Research has proved that employees of transport organisations
realise the significance of strategic human resource management. But some
employees are unable to achieve necessary human capital management
attitudes to function in the target market.
Criticism:
This article can be used to find out the strength, weaknesses, threats and
opportunities of transport sector organisations. HRM practices can be used to
eliminate the weaknesses and grab the opportunities. Management functions
can also be considered to analyse the internal environment of the companies
so as to provide some of the recommendation for development of practices
