INTRODUCTION
The core traits which are required by graduate are its employability skills, knowledge
and experience required in area of employment. Such traits make individuals a valuable resource
for the organisation. Skills may include the professional skills required to achieve the desired
goals of the organisation. I will consider the profession of Human Resource to pursue in an area
of graduate employment. The reason behind choosing this profession is to grab the opportunity
to perform the core functions of the organisations, help to devise the positive impact on the
employees in order to attain the desired goals (Belotto, 2018). Further, I want to explore this
field as my key interest is to take part in the process of decision making of business. The report
examines the research in respect of the profession chosen by me and its future trends
accompanied by the skills, knowledge and experience required to pursue.

Analysis and Application
The profession chosen plays a vital role as it performs core functions of the organisation
and also help to provide with the utmost important resources. The key functions of the HR is
staffing, development of the employees, providing with the compensation, fulfilling the safety
and health needs. Along with the functions, this profession help the organisation to cope up with
the changing environment. The knowledge in this field must be of great level in order to manage
the organisation effectively and efficiently. Often salaries are expected to be high in such kind of
profession (Guarnaccia and et. al., 2018). Further both primary and secondary research is used to
evaluate this profession. The event organised by the career team and interview is considered as
primary and secondary research for this report. .

The advantages and attraction to this profession in recent trend is high as compared to
other professions. The recent global change i.e. the pandemic situation shook the working in all
areas of employment. Accordingly the organisation reacted by applying strategies in order to
pursue its working (Paauwe and Farndale, 2017). The pace of technology is seen in the light of
pandemic as organisations are adapting digital strategy to continue the working of an
organisation. The technologies are applied by the organisation to make the functions of HR
efficient. #Workfromhome is trending as it is the new way to work in this situation from home in

do work has changed completely. Most of the companies allowed their employees to work from
home forever. This became the new culture of doing work with flexibility. According to the
research the new normal working brought the flexibility among the employees in doing the work
along with the change in packages offered to the graduates. Another trend which will impact is
the compliance with the rules and regulations and practices. Thus, HR has a major impact on the
organisation (Zhang, Yao and Guan, 2017).
The skills / knowledge and experience required
The Human Resources jobs entrails a wide range of functions in an organisation. Such
positions can be better known by learning more about the HR functions at present job. For this
job an individual need to be good in interacting with clients, patience in listening grievances and
needs of companies and able to devise measures in order to achieve the organisational goals. The
data derived from the research concludes the following:
Personal skills Maintaining Employee Relations: An individual pursuing career is required to maintain
the relations in order to thrive business towards the desired goals. The skills involve the
ability to solve the disputes and creating safe environment for the employers and
employees. Thus, the communication skills are required in order to grab such jobs. Adjustable in all aspects: The HR professionals shall possess the skills of recruiting
valuable human resource in order to make the organisation grow successfully. It also
include their skill to motivate employees towards organisational goals.
Advising the stakeholders: The key skill is to advise the stakeholders in order to achieve
success and sustainability in the market. Personal issues of stakeholders need o be
identified and solved by giving them appropriate advise.
Knowledge of technology: Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is a software
used by many organisations. Thus, the knowledge of HRIS is important and is considered
as key skill in today's situation.
Teamwork: This skill is required in order to work together with the colleagues as to
achieve the goals effectively. Thus, such skill is beneficial for the organisation towards
its desired goals.

HRM knowledge and expertise is considered essential HR as it helps to conduct
selection, recruiting and other process effectively. The area of knowledge includes:-

effectively. Such education gives the knowledge of HR practices and ethics. Thus, help to
cope with practical and theoretical problems easily and precisely.

and employees and thus, influence them to contribute their best.
Thus, an individual is required to be considered an expert especially in employee relation in
order to achieve the organisational goals effectively and efficiently. As they play a role of
representing employer in the organisation as well as satisfy needs and wants of the employees.
Another expertise required is about the technology as its usage has increased in the pandemic
situation. Further HRIS plays a digital role and it is hard to understand without its knowledge.
The software increases the efficiency in working of HR especially while taking decisions. Thus,
experience working with the software is beneficial for the organisation in achieving goals on
time (Haenlein and Kaplan, 2019) .
Evaluation
I have not given a second thought to build a career in human resource management. And
I have taken a right decision to be a Human Resource Manager, as it allows me to look forward
towards the upcoming growth in terms of my job designation and in respect of salary increment.
There are ample of opportunities to be part of human resource management. Some popular roles
that can be seen in the human resource management are as follows:-

Human Resource Manager comes with vital responsibilities towards the organisation
which I am capable of taking in order to achieve the desired goals. Many decisions such as from
salary to employment relations, leaves and compensation policy are all devised and taken care of

of choosing this profession. I have a great confidence on my communication skills and can
assure them with their needs and wants. Further I am proficient in interacting with them and also
has a strong influencing power to motivate employees towards organisational goals. As the
pandemic situation has led drastic changes in the economy and thus, we can see an emerging
roles in HR profession within the organisation. The HR departments will become more agile in
playing roles in the organisation (Buvik and Tvedt, 2017). It may include the elaborated roles
and responsibilities of the members of the organisations. Further besides local culture the usage
of digital initiatives may cause an increase in the responsibility of HR department. Also the
emerging roles may be such as Human Bias Officer who will play the responsibility that no
actions and decisions are made of bias nature and thus, will treat everyone fairly in the
organisation. Another role can be Data Interpretor, responsible for the collection of data and will
take appropriate measure in order to mitigate risk involved.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that, an awareness of the knowledge and expertise
along with skills are required in the respective area of employment. Such requirements are
necessary to fit in and get success in the workplace. In today's era an individual need to be
effective with both the theoretical and practical knowledge as such is required because of the
changing environment. As we are facing the pandemic situation and we can see how it has
affected the employment as well as the profession played. Further it has evolved new roles by
mitigating the affect caused from changing environment. Thus, it is important to have the
required skills and knowledge in order to enter an employment as it will help to achieve the
desired goals effectively and efficiently.

Primary Research
The primary research was conducted through interview in which questions were asked
from the graduates in respect of the area of employment. The perspective of three graduates in
respect of HR profession were recorded and the scope of the profession was evaluated from the
questionnaire. The questions along with the interpretation are as follows:-
1. What skills are required to become an effective Human Resource Manager?
As per the interview all the three graduates concluded the same answer and described the skills
such as communication skills, knowledge of technology are required to become an effective HR
manager.
2. How will you deal with the unethical situation in the organisation?
One of the graduate formed a hypothetical scenario and provided the remedy to handle the
situation while the other two commented simply on the witnessed practices.
3. What are the upcoming trends which will give the shape to the HR Department?
In the interview one of the graduate cited such trends from the magazines and newsletters of the
organisation. While the other two concluded the trends which are likely to be emerging such as
artificial intelligence, HR Data Interpretor.
4. How will you drive positive results as Human Resource Manager?
In the interview two of the graduates has given the diplomatic answer while the other stated the
strategies such as informal tactics in order to strong the employment relations as to thrive the
business towards growth and success.
