Identification of vacant position in the company: First and foremost, step of HRM in
company is to identify the position which is vacant in the company or any position where
more employees are required to perform the task more efficiently. (Brewster. and
Hegewisch, 2017). Identification of skills and quality required: After identifying the vacant position in
the company, human resource manager needs to identify what qualification is being
needed by the candidate to perform the tasks of the position more effectively. Manager
needs to shortlist all the essential and desirable requirements of the candidate in order to
perform recruitment and selection process. Resourcing strategies: after identifying the requirements and qualifications as well,
human resource manager needs to recruit the right person for the job. This task can be
performed by the manager through its internal sources by using promotional strategies in
the company. Or through recruiting fresh employees in the company by external sources
(Brewster, 2016). Forecasting demand and supply human resource manager needs to identify demand and
supply of the products and services of the company in order to identify actual need of
number of employees in the company and performing recruitment process accordingly. Recruiting and selecting suitable candidates after identifying actual need of employees
in the company, their qualifications, desirable skills, etc. human resource manager needs
to perform recruitment and selection process in the company for the purpose of recruiting
right candidate at right position.
Monitoring and evaluation just recruiting right candidate is not the only task of human
resource manager. However, the manger also needs to monitor performance all the
resources recruited by him for analysing and evaluating whether their decision of
selecting the employees is correct or not. Or whether any employee needs any training
program in order to gain knowledge about the task performed by him.
Hence, if TUI Group prepares human resource plan on the basis of its demand and supply, it can
help it in designing a better strategy for the company.
