INTRODUCTION
This report is a research on the profession of human resource managers. The aim of this
report is to illustrate HR manager as career option after graduation. I chose this profession as I
found it really interesting to follow and make a career out of it. I believe that I have proper
knowledge and skills that is required from a HR manager (Bala, 2021). Thus, this report covers
trends that can impact my profession and my skills as well as experience which is necessary to
become a efficient HR manager.

explained underneath:
Impact of Globalisation- Globalisation is a process that connects whole world as one
community. It allows easy stream of technology and human resources across various nations
resulting in more competitive business environment (Burga, Leblanc and Rezania, 2020). It has
considerably changes patterns of employment which forces business organisation to manage
their resources in a way that it focuses on their major capabilities so the company can face
market threats effectively. It puts extra pressure on organisations to develop their human
resource department in ways that it can analyse and solve issues globally. This department is also
transforming according to modern business requirements and to effectively face complex
challenges spreading all over the world. It emphasis on implementing new technologies for
several actions that require new skills sets and proper knowledge from human resource
management. The major impact globalisation puts on the profession of human resource manager
is that they have to maturely deal with employees hailing from diverse background and cultures.
It is important to understand mindsets as well as interests of employees before giving them

different from one another, thus it is the responsibility of HR managers to understand as well as
imply these in human resource policies.
Impact of Technology- Technology has advanced at great pace in modern times and have
changed the universe of business in many ways. It has redefined the job role and responsibilities
of human resource managers globally. Advanced in technologies have impacted every stage of
HR management starting from recruitment to retirement. Technology development have a great
impact on businesses which operates in dynamic environment. This require larger efficiency as
well as effectiveness of human resource management. Adopting new techniques for database
management and recruitment system can increase efficiency of HR management. Information
technology allows HR managers to provide better services to upper level of management by
effectively handling communication through all the levels of organisation (Call and Greising,
2021). Various information technology tools helps human resource management to support
management and improve company's efficiency by recruiting as well as training employees.
They examine and analyse their searches as well as develop control in a way that advances
performances of organisation. The productivity of companies can be increase by rising customers
interactions and functional efficiency. For this reason, enterprises uses human resource IT
techniques to give diversify set of products and expand business operations by enhancing
products and services. Next great impact of technology on HR management is the usage of social
media. It has ease the job of HR managers in talent acquisition and retention. HR uses various
apps like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc. to spread awareness about company's profile and
their requirement for employees. Another positive impact of technology is the introduction of

experience set required from a good HR managers is explained below:
Communication skill- The primary skill set that makes an individual a good fit for HR
manager is communication power (Cooper and Nelson, 2020). It is necessary for an HR manager
to have good communication skill as they are responsible to communicate with various
stakeholders, higher authority and junior staff. The ability to relate effectively with different type
of mindsets is an crucial skill set required for HR managers.
Proactive- An individual looking to create career in human resource management must
have proactive trait. As HR managers is the link between employee and employer it is required
from them to be proactive so they can assess potential issues that may arise at workplace and
prevent them from happening. Proactive HR manager are also keeps up to date information about
existing and emerging market trends across all aspects of organisation.
Motivation skill- Another essential skill needed from HR manager is their ability to
motivate employees of firm. This skill is important as it influences employees to work with their
full potential to help organisation achieving their objective which will further help in attaining
individual goals. HR managers works both as activist for employees as well as representative of
employers (Godden, 2022).
Organisational skills- HR professionals are not only responsible for recruiting employees
but they are also liable to oversee various functions like employee development, training,
appraisals, performance management of employees, etc. For this purpose, organisations require
HR managers who can oversee and manage all aspects of organisation. HR professionals are
require to take administrative activities organised that will to increase efficiency of companies.
Decision-making skills- A human resource manager is required to make many decisions
throughout their job cycle. The primary decision-making for HR manager is selection of
candidates for various job profile according to their qualifications and experience. At the time of
chaos in company, the HR professionals are required to make solid decisions that can minimise
conflicts and brings harmony at workplace.

professional data of each employee of an organisation. To cope up with advancing technologies,
every company is transforming towards adopting techniques that can better organise employees
and organisations information (Guo, Wang and Wang, 2021). HR managers are required to have
excellent knowledge in the area of technology so they can effectively utilize software using by
company.
Corporate law- Another area of knowledge needed from HR professionals is
understanding of corporate law. The department for human resources can also be called as
governing body of company. For this reason, the HR managers need to have proper knowledge
of existing laws and legislations associated with company and its employment (Hussein, 2019).
This help HR manager to maintain excellent working conditions as well as standards for
employees.
Evaluation
I am interested in the job role of human resource manager as I have all the skills set it
requires. I am good at communicating with people and influencing them to do tasks that can help
a certain company to achieve their objectives. I am proactive and also have quick decision
making ability which makes me a perfect fit for HR manager. I prefer this job opportunity rather
than other jobs I applied for because I can see growth both in my personality and in my career.
This job will enhance my skills and knowledge as well as provides me great opportunities to
become a leader in future.
