From the given pivot table, it is observed that in the Marketing department there are
11employees out of total 96. Marketing department cover 11% share of total workforce in terms
of human resources it has in its department. Highest share is covered by the sales department
which have 19% share in the overall workforce of the company. Administration and customer
support both have 16% share in the total workforce and it can be said that mentioned department
comes on third rank in the table.
R&D department cover 14% share in the overall workforce and it can be said that
mentioned department comes at fourth number in the workforce in terms of human resource they
own. Accounting, finance and ICT department cover very low proportion in the workforce. In
Accounting department there are 10 employees out of 96 and have 10% share in the entire
workforce. In finance department there are 8 employees out of 96 and it can be said that
mentioned department have 8% share in the total workforce. ICT have 6% share in the total
workforce and it can be said that it has less proportion in total workforce.

Important point to note is that in research and development department higher number of
employees are identified with higher amount of salary. Avery and Alexander belong to research
and development department. This reflect that business firm is giving very high importance to its
research and development department because it plays crucial role in success of the business
firm. Research and development department play crucial role in promoting innovation at the
workplace. It is the research and development department that assist firm in launching new
product time to time. Hence, it can be said that these are some of reasons because of which

(4) Five staff recently hired and seven staff that are old
As per data five staff recently hired are Macia, Gage, Mila, Cassius, Corabus and Virginia.
All these hired in 2017 and 2018. On other hand, some of old staff members are Laura, Billy,
Lilles, Gloaria, Janetter, Marjorie and Mariana. All these were started to be employed in 2005
and 2006.
(5) Days gone because of sick leave
Total 468 days gone because of sick leave which means that almost one year gone because
of such kind of sick leave.

Higher sick number is observed in case of administration, sales and research and
development department. In admistration department there are total 75 sick days followed by

there are 77 sick days in sales department. Apart from this there are 67 days total sick days in the
research and development department. It can be said that two of core departments which are
sales and R&D observed higher sick days and such kind of things definitely affect busines firm.
Low sick days are observed in case of finance and ICT where sick days are 43 and 44. Firm
management need to be very strict to ensure that in upcoming time period such number of leaves
will not be observed. In this regard proper system must be developed under which time to time
medical check up of employees must happaned. Such kind of thing ensure that organization will
be run smoothly in proper manner at the workplace.
