Human resources is the departments which helps in manage he employees life cycle with
the training, firing, hiring and recruiting employees within the organization. Human resource are
responsible for the all things work related and its helps in contribute and values to business. The
chosen company is Sainsbury company. It is the largest retail business in United Kingdom that
deal s in supermarkets at London. It offers the varieties of products and also have large number
employment within the organization. This report will elaborate the importance of organizational
design to the sustainable performance and requirement to develop motivated and experience
teams. This report will also discuss the contemporary research and developments to support
emerging HR developments.

Importance of organizational design theory in organization structure
The organizational theory is the framework that helps company to outline the business
structure for completing activities. The organizational design is the key factor of company to
achieve the business dynamic goals and its mission (Kantabutra and Ketprapakorn, 2021). There
are different types of organizational design theory such as classical, Neoclassical and modern
organizational theory.
Classical organizational theory: this theory is very important ad it s deal with the
formal organization. In this theory, the focus on achieve the organizational goals
effectively. In order to enhance the organizational efficiency, so every employee

classical theory is departmentalization, coordination, functional process, division of
labor, span of control and structure. In the context of organization structure, it is the
logical relationship in business and it arranges the business functions to effectively

Non classical organization theory: it consists the informal organization and support the
organization structure. This theory is also known as the human relation approach and
behavioural theory of organization. This theory offer the organizational design in various
aspect such as decentralize, flat structure and informal organization (Kanter, 2019).
