MAIN BODY
1. Key things which I learned during the last two weeks?
During last two weeks I have taught two different units which are based on various
human right acts. In the unit 17, I recognized the political and legislative relevance of the
1998 Human Rights Act and why it was enacted. Apart from this, from this unit I
understood role of the legislation in respecting human rights until the Act was enacted
and how the Act had an effect on that position. In the end section of this unit, I was able
to learn about the Act's primary reasons and consider how the Act affects the respect for
human rights in the United Kingdom.
While from unit 18 which was based on human rights act I learned about understand
main characteristics of human right acts. I learned about different kinds of section of act
which are section 3, 4 and 6. Each section contains various kinds of information like
about Existing legal rules, incongruence statement and public body term. In the end of
such unit, I understood the concept of The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
(Donnelly and Whelan, 2020).
2. Relation to workplace.
The above learning can be linked with workplace in real life. Like human right act 1998
can be applied in those workplaces or societies where people want to protect their
interests in UK courts and push public institutions to serve all fairly, with equity, decency
and honesty, such as the government, police and local authorities. Apart from these acts
can be used to protect rights of those employees or people who want to defend
themselves against those who are harassing the rights. So in such workplaces above
mentioned acts can be applied. Apart from this, Police and Criminal Evidence Act, 1984
can also be applied in the case when there is an individual is treated in an unfair manner
by a police man (Razzaque, 2020). In certain situation, this act can be useful. This is so
because aim of such act to consolidate police forces into a common code of conduct and

conducted successfully human rights with police powers. It further addresses the need to
create a report of a stop or incident with a policeman.
3. Role in personal and professional development.
The above learned acts can be used by me in upcoming time period to deal with
consequences which may occur due any bias. For instance, human right act 1998 can be
applied in the case when there is a person who has been robbed by a thief and goes to
police station. In the police man refused to register the case due to lack of evidence. In
such case, this can be find out that police (Public authority) did not follow the correct
protocol and harassed the right of that individual. Herein, human right act 1988 can be
applied in order to protect right of individual and further action can be taken against thief
as well as on police too.
