INTRODUCTION
Each human being always takes various productive steps towards secure itself from
different negative elements of the society and also from any natural disaster. According to
Maslow’s hierarchy needs, safety and security is the second prime need of a person. People
always be motivated for fulfilling this safety and security need. Currently government within
each country has taken different necessary actions for protecting their people from different
crimes, disease, epidemic, earth quack, tsunami, fire, etc. Human security is the first priority of
any government in any country. This essay mainly discusses various aspects of human security.
Some productive strategies and techniques also has discussed in this essay which can help to
people for creating a safe and secure zone around them.
MAIN BODY
Human Security
Human security is a major term for all human being where humans takes decisions for
create a secure zone around them. Many times people invest huge fund only on their security
aspect, because security is the prime need of a person (Deloffre, 2016). Government of each
country is mainly responsible to protect their people from different negative elements. That’s
why each year local government has passed some specific fund for creating safe and secure zone
for protecting and securing their people. A human being always need to secure itself from many
things, like; crimes, terrorist attacks, natural disaster (fire, tsunami, high rain), etc. According to
many human researcher, a human being always scary from things which can harm it in any way.
That’s why they always try to remove such scary thing from their living area. Each person wants
live in a comfort zone where it can easily joy its life. But currently some factors are existing in
the society which can harm comfort zone of humans. A human has required to protect itself from
many things in their personal. Protection is really prime need of a person, that’s why a most
people are ready to pay any cost for living in a safe and secure zone.
Currently many people still living in that zone where crime rate is too high, in which
situation existing government should take quick actions towards removing crims from that
particular area. Currently army, local police, cops, traffic officers, doctors, nurses, trainers,

guards, fireman etc. are giving great contribution to protect our human life from different things
which can harm humans (Persaud, 2016). Of course, these doctors, guards, fireman etc. are also
humans, but they protect other human beings on self-risk. That’s most people always give
respect to these people who always get ready to protect humans. In many cities, crime rate is
increasing day by day, in which existing officers should be active in their job role. Human
security is very important task to specially those people who has worked in defence departments,
like; army, police, cops etc. Many times a human face huge injuries in any road accident as well,
so many countries have already taken some proper steps towards protecting people from
different road accident. Currently many social healthcare organisations are also working for
protecting humans from various diseases and epidemics etc. For example; currently whole
human lives facing world’s biggest epidemic called corona virus. Currently this corona virus
(COVID 19) has spread everywhere in the world. That’s why people are facing many problems
due to this epidemic. Currently government within each country is continually taking various
steps towards protecting and securing their people from this biggest epidemic.
Nowadays there are all countries’ governments has imposed lockdown on their people.
This is really necessary step which has taken by different governments to secure and safe their
people from exiting epidemic. According to WHO (world health organisation), currently
lockdown and quarantine are the best ways for securing all humans. All humans highly get
scared from this epidemic, because lots of people has already died from this corona epidemic.
Hope this virus will stop to infect people in different places, because currently whole human race
is facing huge problems because of this epidemic (Davies, 2016). On the other side, humans race
facing many other issues also which has based on security. For example; currently many terrorist
groups are existing in many places of world, in which harm human race in any way is the first
priority of these groups. In this situation, government within each government is responsible to
take some appropriate actions towards terrorism aspect as well. Currently many social
organisations are day by day trying to remove different negative elements from society to create
a safe and secure zone for people within society.
Challenges
Human security approach has presented various challenges to security and development.
When humans take steps towards protecting and securing themselves from different negative

factors, then many times they face many challenges in their security and development operations.
Some major challenge has been discussed below;
Lack of fund: Many countries are still not able to arrange required fund for securing and
protecting their people. There is proper financial support is the first priority towards creating a
safe and secure zone. For example; currently many developed countries, like; United States,
Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia etc. uses very advance technology for securing
people in daily life. In this situation, without proper funding, these countries can’t provide safety
and security services to their people (Kerwin, 2016). That’s why lack of fund challenge is one of
the biggest challenges in the term of human security.
Lake of people awareness: This is another major challenge in human security and development,
because people awareness is too necessary for creating safe and secure zone to people. Each
human being should be aware about those factors which can negatively affect their daily lives,
because currently this is the only most appropriate way towards properly dealing with such
challenges of human security and development. Of course, many people have already aware
about how to make safe and secure zone around them, but lots of other people still has required
to aware about how to create safe and secure zone. Many times people who completely aware
about human security are always demand from their respective governments for promoting
human security and development within whole country.
Lake of Interest: Lake of interest is another major challenge towards human security and
development. Many times government within different countries not take any interest in securing
their people. Personal interest is also very necessary for protecting ourselves from different
negative elements. Local people within each country should vote only that political party which
always show their safety & security and defence. When government of a country take full
interest in securing people, then people of that country can easily live in safe and secure zone
(Collins, 2016). That’s why people or government should take interest for promoting safety and
security aspects in the place where they live.
Carelessness: Currently many people are highly wasting our precious natural resources for self-
benefits. They are completely careless for saving these resources for whole human lives and also
for upcoming human generation as well. There are these natural resources, like fresh water, food,

chemicals, other goods etc. are also safe and secure zone, because a human being can’t survive
without these resources. In this situation, people who careless for saving resources are indirectly
harming human security and development aspects. That’s why local governing bodies should
take some necessary legal action towards stop these careless people for proving the best safe and
secure zone to different people.
Poor and ineffective policies: Nowadays different governments and social welfare organisations
has developed many innovative policies to secure and develop human race. But in many places,
these policies which has developed for promoting safety and security are completely ineffective
and poor in nature. In this situation, each social organisation and government should always
develop some productive and effective policies to create that zone where people can feel secured
and developed. By taking these all steps of different governments and social organisations,
humans can easily deal with various challenges of security and development.
These all are some major challenges which has presented by human security approach to
conventional accounts of security and development (Sterly, Sakdapolrak and Ober, 2016). All
human being should properly consider different challenges in their daily life to create a safe and
secure zone around them. These challenges always negatively affect to human security aspect, in
which people should use some productive strategies to properly deal with these different
challenges.
Reconstruction and Critically Discussion
Day by day different countries are taking various necessary steps towards more
improving their level of human security. For example; there are defence also a part of human
security, in which almost all countries high investing on their defence aspect. Without proper
defence services, country can’t protect their people, because currently many terrorist groups also
have well-developed and modern weapons. Many times these groups highly harm to many
human lives in different places (Hama, 2017). That’s why each country is responsible to arrange
proper weapons for protecting and securing their people. Many other aspects also too weak in the
terms of human security. For example; currently many medicines and vaccines are still not
available in the market which can properly secure to human lives from various diseases, viruses
and epidemics etc. Currently whole human race is in so panic because of existing corona virus.
Reason is, we humans still not has proper vaccine for fighting against this virus. That’s why

recently many people have died and still dying from this virus. Hope our medical researcher will
be found proper vaccine as soon as possible for removing this virus from earth. According to
current situation, the corona virus vaccine has highly required to reconstruct human security and
development.
Many times some other issues have also raised within society which can negatively affect
human security aspect. For example; many times some bad people has raped a girl or a woman.
This is social issue is also part of human security, because girls and woman get highly harmed by
such actions which these bad people mostly take within society (Bilgic, 2018). Local government
within each place should take some productive decisions to punish these bad people. These steps
of governments are necessary for securing humans in these negative activities. For example;
many countries passed too strict law for effectively punishing such bas people. When local
governments have taken such steps for securing humans, then these governments can easily
reconstruct human security and development aspects. On the other side, our climate also
changing year by year because of harmful gases. Currently many manufacturing companies are
highly violating different environmental laws which was developed for protecting our natural
environment. Many businesses and companies are highly wasting our natural resources for their
personal benefits.
Currently social organisations which works for protecting natural environment are need
to be more active in their job role (Barrière, 2017). They need to develop or create some
productive policies, rules and regulations for protecting our natural environment. These actions
of environmental protection organisations can easily stop businesses or companies which are
violating all environmental laws. These organisations have required to set some measures also
for controlling such gases which can harm existing climate. In this situation, these all steps of
different environmental protection organisations are too necessary for securing humans, because
an unbalanced environment always negatively impact all human race (Madrueño‐Aguilar, 2016).
People also has required to be more active for creating safe and secure around them, because
there is self-security is also too necessary for promoting human security and development within
society.

CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that security is one of the most prime needs of humans. People
always get motivated to fulfil this need which completely has based on safety and secure.
Currently each person wants to live in a safe and secure zone, in which it is very common
requirement of human beings. Currently governments within different organisations has taken
some productive steps towards securing and protecting their people in the society. Nowadays
some social organisations are also working on removing such factors from society which can
harm human lives. That’s why these all actions of different governments and organisations
highly contributes human security and development.
