Health workforce safety in Remote Australia
This is one of the most crucial problems that need concern of the government. The health
professionals have to stay in the far distant regions and provide health and medical facilities to
the people. However they often have to face severe problems in those regions. There is lack of
proper electricity supply, proper housing facilities and also the villages and the other people who
live in the remote regions suffer from the lack of proper educational facilities. The health
professionals have to carry on their work of providing proper health and medical facilities to the
people along with the thought of their personal safety. There can also be the problems of
language barriers as well. There can also be several regional and political imbalances (Truong et
al., 2017).
Another major concern that is seen in the health care sectors is the growing inequality in the
availability of the health and medical facilities (Drummond et al., 2015). In this modern 21st
century the needs and demands of people have increased and they demand for better facilities. At
the same time, installing and using the new technologies is also huge and a heavy expenditure is
involved in the whole medical process. This in turn makes the patients pay a huge amount of
money for the availing those facilities. There are also several errors and mistakes that take place
in the medical field. People who are of a poor economic background often face many difficulties
in availing the timely medical services as they are kept reserved for the people who have a good
flow of income. All the medical facilities are usually given on a first come and first serve basis.
It is for this reason that people who afford to get the high cost insurance coverage and can afford

to pay the high range hospital bills are the ones who get the best medical facilities (Stoddart &
Evans, 2017).
Highlight some of the potential ethical concerns you may have as a practitioner and how
you can address them.
There are many ethical concerns that are related to the health sector. The first among
them is developing a common platform that will aim at removing the language barriers between
the patients and the medical professionals. Often there are many language barriers as well.
Proper medical facilities can be made easily available if there are no language barriers. So being
a practitioner I will try my level best to make sure that I am conducting for many campaigns that
will help me to train all the profession also in the hospitals and the nursing biomes in many
different languages so that they can freely talk with the patients who are living in the distant and
the remote regions. Apart from this, I will try to implement laws that will be equal for all the
people belonging from different economic sectors. I will try to create some kinds of insurance
plans that will not be too expensive to afford. I will try and introduce some free and discounted
offers that will help the poor people to avail the treatment at the right time.
