Introduction
Human services provision helps in meeting the human needs and it aids in improving
quality of life of a vast section of population. It helps the people in navigating through the
crisis stage in their life. It provides them with the requisite amount of the guidance that can
aid people in moving forward in life (Shier, Handy & Jennings 2019). Human services
workers assists individuals and communities in functioning effectively in significant domains
of living. The human services helps in bringing about social change as it helps in removal of
evils and the abuses prevailing in society. It can enable people in leading a better life. This
essay discusses about how the human services acts as an opportunity for the social change.
This essay elucidates on my values and how it have influenced my perspective of viewing
world. This essay elaborates on how the dominant ideologies which are expressed in media
along with politics have an effect on the human services.
Discussion
Human service workers helps in providing various kinds of services which is
instrumental in bringing about improvements in lives of clients (Sanford 2017). I think that
they offer help in the area of identifying problems that solves problems in lives of clients.
According to McMichael (2016), the social service work helps people who are reeling under
devastating effect of institutional system of exploitation. In my view, they co-ordinate
services which are provided by other organizations that proves to be of great assistance for
people. The human service provision ensures that children live within safe homes and that
their needs are met in the society (Chenoweth & McAuliffe 2017). I think that they remove
injustices and inequality prevalent in society that aids them in effectively bringing out
societal change. I think that they offer extensive help to people who have been the victim of
physical or domestic abuse. They play an important role in creation of a positive impression

in society. In my view, they improve social relations existing in between the people that
solves problems in lives of people. The social workers address needs of people who does not
fit in with bureaucratic categories. It can thus serve greater welfare of entire society. There
exist various kinds of views about human service provision in the present age. It have been
stated by Bershady (2017), human services work helps in challenging root cause of
exploitation that can bring about a change in condition of living of people. It offers the help
to people who need financial support and is ever willing to address their problems in wider
society (Soria & Mitchell, 2016). The provision of the human services helps in the
maintenance of social fabric that helps in maintenance of equilibrium in the society. There
exists the view that human services provision helps in stabilizing life and it enables people in
finding self-sufficiency with the help of guidance and counselling.
I am an ardent believer of moral values which have greatly influenced my manner of
perceiving the world. In my view, there should be prevalence of equality and justice that can
aid in creation of a better world. The moral values are indicative of the relative values and it
is respectful of dual life value of the self along with the others (Mosley, Marwell & Ybarra
2019). I believe in the standards of the good and the evil and it governs my individual
choices. I think that public service should be provided to needy people that can ameliorate
their problems in the society. In my view, an individual should be able to act above self-
interest and personal gain that can improve present condition of the world (McMichael
2016). I believe in moral values and hence I feel that the social problems like the drug
dependency, criminal behaviours and the child abuse should be addressed in the right
manner. I believe in the cause of fighting against social injustice that can act to the advantage
of vulnerable and deprived groups in the community. I believe that necessary resources
should be provided to people that can be instrumental in removing their misery in society. I

believe in public sensitivity and I provide encouragement to public for embracing cultural
respect and genetic diversity.
The dominant ideologies which are expressed in the media along with politics have an
effect on provision of human services. I think that the social work is constructed by politics
and principles of social work are shaped with the help of various kinds of ideologies.
Articulation of values of social workers can be stated to be an expression of ideology. The
political ontology of the social workers precedes that of their epistemological choices
(Chenoweth & McAuliffe 2017). Neo-liberalism refers to the theory of political economic
practice that talks about liberation of individual entrepreneurial freedoms. In my view, the
cultural change have taken place on account of the tenet of neo-liberalism that have enabled
commoditization of various aspects of the society. It have been successful in taking care of
issues like social welfare of the people. Individualism refers to political ideology that lays
stress on moral worth of an individual (Bershady 2017). The tenet of the individualism have
a great effect on social work and it determines living conditions of people in present age. It
have helped in the creation of the person-centred model of the counselling and planning that
have greatly influenced lives of people.
Conclusion
Human service provision is helpful in improving social relations that exists in
between individuals and it solves problems within daily lives of people. They attest to needs
of people who does not belong to bureaucratic categories that is instrumental in serving entire
society. The resources can be provided to people which can aid in removal of misery from
lives of people. Neo-liberalism have brought on cultural changes that have taken care of
element of social welfare. In my view, human services work have the capability of addressing
root cause of the exploitation that can elevate condition of the people in society. I think that

principles of neo-liberalism can liberate individuals from problems that are taking place in
society. In my opinion, individualism can liberate people from drudgery and it can have
positive influence on lives of people.
