INTRODUCTION
Security is the most important factor that very organization takes care of. Security is the
freedom or protection against the possible harm caused by the external or unwanted forces to
a person or organization (Collins, 2016). Every organization is aware of the importance of the
security which includes the security of the buildings, employees and finance. In spite of all
the protections taken by the organizations, lack of security happens in some cases. Lack of
security within the organization is mostly experienced in the operating systems. There are
issues in the organizations like spams, virus attack in the computers and in the operating
systems, malware in the computers and carelessness in the monitoring of the network within
the organization (Zafar, 2013).
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
It has been noticed that our email is flooded with unwanted and irrelevant messages
from different sources. As a lot of operations by the visitors and buyers as well as the staff
members are performed on the computers present, more problem has arose related to the
same. The inbox of the official mail was filled up of the messages that promoted the fake
designers and the goods, bonuses promising people to become rich easily and quickly
(Petlier, 2016). There are useless mails regarding the job openings in various sectors and
locations and others which state that a person needs to improve their skills in order to get a
job or his or her job. Most of the computers are infected with viruses as the anti-virus
software was absent in most of them. The computers in which the anti-virus software were
installed, were either outdated or have become corrupted that did not work according to the
expectations which affected the computers badly. The system or the persons responsible for
managing the network was incapable and irresponsible. Every time a person need to surf the

internet, the person complains about the loss of connection and the other persons are also not
able to do their work (Layton, 2016).
EFFECTS OF THE PROBLEM
The useless and the irrelevant mails or the spam in the organizations’ self-email,
cause major problems while handling the emails and queries of the visitors and other staff
members. Emails do play the most important role in doing the regular tasks of the
organizations. Recently, we have noticed that one of the employees of the organization has
unintentionally opened a spam message that led to the download of a spyware into the
system. Lack of proper installation as anti-virus software in the computers caused loss of the
most of the important data. Event there were corrupted files in the computer which slowed
down the functioning of the computers. The people who used the computers to search for the
list of the books in the store got enraged and there was major loss in the sales of the
organization. Poor network management leads to low productivity in the computer. There
was no internet connection for a stretch of four days and the customers were really furious.
Out of the many computers in the bookstore, only a few were working and the customers had
to wait for long in order to purchase books.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the computers should be well protected and the software
should be installed and updated as and when required. It is a request from us to protect the
emails so that no other useless and irrelevant emails are received. The emails and other such
accounts that are not required often should be protected by password and are to be opened
and accessed with the permission of higher authorities.
