AI Summary
This report examines the electric future of the car industry, focusing on hybrid car technology. It begins with an introduction to electric cars, followed by a discussion of hybrid car features, including the integration of electric motors with gasoline engines and the different driving modes available in Toyota hybrid cars. The report highlights the environmental benefits of hybrid cars, such as reduced carbon dioxide emissions and lower pollution levels. It concludes with a projection that in the coming years, hybrid cars will continue to evolve, potentially utilizing single electric traction motors and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future. The report also includes references to relevant sources and a visual aid demonstrating the working of hybrid vehicles.

INTRODUCTION
The car industry involves a wide range of corporations and organisations that are engaged
in designing, developing, manufacturing, selling and marketing of cars or vehicles (Emadi,
2014). It is one of the most essential commercial sectors in world in terms of earning revenue.
Automotive industry in the UK is famous for their superior sports car marques such as Jaguar,
Toyota, Lotus, etc. The present report is based on electric future of car industry whereby the
features of hybrid cars are discussed.
Electric cars
Electric cars is an auto-mobile that is driven by one or more electric motors by utilising
the electrical energy that is stored in the rechargeable batteries. Toyota Prius is one of the
successful hybrid car that is sixteen years old in the market of UK (Shiozaki and et. al., 2011).
Some of the important features of a hybrid cars are listed as below:
It consists of a small fuel efficient gas engine which is integrated with an electrical motor.
It helps engine at the time of acceleration. This electric motor is gaining its power from
batteries which are recharging automatically at the time of driving.
Two types of gasoline hybrid cars are present namely parallel and series hybrid cars.
In parallel hybrid car, a gasoline engine and electric motor are working together for
moving the car in forward direction (How Do Plug-In Hybrid Electric Car Work ?,
2017).
In series hybrid cars, gasoline engine are either giving power directly to electric motor
that provides ability to vehicle or charging batteries that would make the motor capable.
Toyota hybrid cars can be set into three alternate driving modes such as EV, Eco and
Power mode.
Hybrid cars are emitting less amount of carbon dioxide which reduces the level of
pollution from town or nation.

CONCLUSION
From the above based report, it can be concluded that hybrid cars is an innovation in the
automotive industry. It is very much ozone-friendly as it emits a less amount of carbon dioxide
in nature which reduces the pollution level. These cars use one or more electric motors that gets
charged automatically. It has been assessed from the report that in next 2 to 5 years, these cars
will get developed a lot and might run single motor that is electric traction motor. This would
generate no pollution in the upcoming future. The speed may be too high and price of such cars
would get minimised.
