INTRODUCTION
Hydrogenation is the process to change the physical characteristics of natural fats and oils.
Hydrogenation of vegetable oils/fatty acids involves the addition of hydrogen, in the presence of
a Nickel catalyst, to the carbon-carbon double bonds present in the fatty acid chains. The
hydrogenation can assist in storing the product easily. This will also assist in keeping up the
quality of the product. It is really necessary to maintain the temperature of hydrogenation
machine so that they quality of the product which has been stored inside it cannot be reduced.
There are various advantages which are also been related to making use of this type of machine.
It is basically been used in order to keep the flavour and also to keep the quality of the oil that
has been used inside the product which has been stored. The hydrogenation machine is basically
been used by the food industry. This machine is providing various kind of benefits to the users
who are been using it. They can store food for the large amount of time inside the hydrogenation
machine.
This machine is basically been used in order to keep the shell –life of the food product. It
has been analysed from the research that leaders and managers of food industry must be involved
in maintaining the safe temperature of hydrogenation machine. It has been analysed that when
pre-treat the fresh catalyst with hydrogen at 130 – 150 °C to remove the surface oxidation. When
the latter is been removed the hydrogenation machine must be kept at the lower than 90 degree.
This will assist the leaders and manager of food industry in keeping up the shelf life of the food.

Aim
To maintain the safe temperature of hydrogenation machine so that the shelf life of food can be
preserved (Biagini and et.al., 2019). The project will aim to discuss this by analysing and
evaluating all leadership and management approaches related to it. The main purpose of maintain
the temperature is to enhance the quality of food and also to preserve the nutrients involved in it.

Justification
The use of hydrogenation machine is been increasing day by day and mostly it is been used
by the food industry. It has been analysed that it is really necessary to maintain the safe
temperature of this machine in order to save the shelf life of the food products. Hydrogenation
process is basically been used to convert the unsaturated fats and oil into the saturated one. It can
also be done adequately by keeping the machine at the safe level (Le and et.al., 2018). It is really
necessary to keep the machine at safe temperature as if not maintained then various
consequences can occur and food can reduce their shelf life. In order to use this machine
perfectly the leaders must be involved in providing training to individuals so that no error occurs
while making use of it. This will assist in keeping up the nutrients in the food. It will also help
them in increasing the food life. Training by leaders related to maintaining safe temperature of
hydrogenation machine can also reduce the possibilities of error in the workplace. It will assist
them in converting the unsaturated fats and oil into saturated ones. It will be beneficial for the
food industry to make use of this type of machine.
Statement of Intent
The purpose of the project is to maintain the safe temperature of hydrogenation machine so that
food shelf life can be secured (Singh and et.al., 2020). The main purpose is to reduce the

accidental errors related to the hydrogenation process by adequately maintaining the safe
temperature. It will be beneficial for them to keep the flavour and also to keep the quality of the
oil that has been used inside the product which has been stored. Furthermore, it has been
demonstrated the process of intensification concept which enabled by other micro channel
reactors in term of energy efficient catalytic hydrogenation react at temperature. In order to
design, evaluate, optimise and fabricated the micro channel in term of hydrogenation. In another
