Assessment 1 – LO3 -Written and verbal communication in digital age
According to I, written communication is a method of communicating via written documents
such as sending of text messages, emails, instant messaging apps etc. Moreover, oral
communication in the digital age is via video calling, audio calling etc. There can not be any of
the future record in written.
Digital tools can be used for the written and verbal communication in a manner such as
the email, calls, conferencing all are the tools in the digital age and with the help of these a
person can communicate with other or in other way the message can be sent to other via these
tools. With the help of these digital tools, communication became very easy as an example with
the video conferencing the communication in between the group of people is very easy and it
results in time saving as well.
The effective communication in the digital age in such a manner as effective
communication is counted as the leadership skill in this digital age as the way people
communicate it indicates their personality, dynamic behaviour. Effective communication is being
complex as the effective and efficient information communication over the digital medium
contains various other parameters in nature (Erlangga and Sos,2020). With the help of effective
communication skill it became pretty easier for the person to express their words, feelings,
emotion with the others such as by being more interacting, with digestible content, with being
transparent in nature, with visual communication also the effective communication is possible.
The effective communication can impact business success and failure in such as manner
as with effective communication a business can grow by time saving and including customer
services but if the communication is not proper with some missing information, this can lead a
business towards the failure.

Introduction
ICT also known as information and communication technology, contains all the technologies that
includes internet wireless network, computers, software, social networking, cellphones, media
services as well as the media applications. ICT not only contains the access of the information

but also contains the conventional discussion of the information such as the knowledge a person
have, available information to an individual at respective place and time as well. It also
influences all the information like with whom the person wanted to meet, talk, want to know etc.
Role of ICT in business operations:
ICT itself includes all the digital technology in between the individual persons, organizations or
the businesses. It makes a business more effective, efficient in nature. It helps the person or
business to promptly fulfil the needs of customers (Barile and et. al., 2021). ICT helps to assist
various organizational activities that includes manufacturing, designing, research and
development , distributions, sales, feedback.
Role of ICT have different applications in the departments like management, finance, marketing
and in HR as well.
High-tech ICT resources are being used to improvement as well as the advancement in
business managements such as production, supply chain logistic, sales strategies etc.
ICT allows the management to deal with finance more efficiently. The services of ICT
are like online banking system and their services like e-banking services.
ICT have transformed the fundamental of marketing by organizing campaigns in a more
personalized way to the people and with the more integrity within the targeted marketers
make the whole marketing process easier.
ICT have important role in HR as it changes the way to deal with the employee. To
contact the individual, storing their files, analysing performance of the employees are
main factors that are being affected by the technology. The role of ICT in HR is to maker
it more efficient.
The way ICT can be used in knowledge creation and sharing
ICT have an huge influence upon the knowledge management. These technologies felicitate the
management system to share the available knowledge or the information. There are various ways
by that ICT is affecting the knowledge exchange such as it allows mentors to pay attention
towards to the students in a closer view. ICT allows to conduct the virtual training in the
institutions as well and these training allows the educational as well as business organization to

of learning in the remote way and this is also an application of the ICT in knowledge sharing (De
Marco and et.al., 2017).
ICT have the ability to transcend the space, time for knowledge creation. It has possibles the
asynchronous learning within the system. It helps in the creation of knowledge by using the OL
concept and SECI concept whereas OL tends for organizational learning and SECI stands for
socialization learning, externalization learning, combination learning and internationalization
learning in the creation of information (Chaudary, N., 2017).
The way ICT benefits the business towards success
ICT technologies have many of the benefits in the business such as optimizing, streaming,
automation in various internal processes. Use of technology benefits these processes by reducing
error occurred by human, reduces the delay within the process, reduces the complexity of the
respective processes (Linton. I.,2021). It also helps in improvement in the efficiency by cost
reduction as well as cut the time taking in the process or can be said as improvement in the
bottom line of the target based work.
Here are few key point in which ICT can benefit the business success.
Improved quality service delivery to the customers: In this modern world, every
customer wants the quality products and to fulfil all these demands of the customers
businesses focus upon the demands as well as the requirement of the customer. Business
became more oriented and focused towards the process and do ensure the customer
service from the front line staff. However, introduction of the technology do reduce the
staff efforts and provide services efficiently as well as on the time.
Improved responsiveness to developers: Technology can be introduced in terms of the
time saving process. In this era everybody wants their work is to be on the time. The time
is directly related to money and in that time the technology reduces human efforts as well
as the error within the process. In small or medium size businesses ICT have improved
responsiveness to the developers in terms of targets (Janssen, 2020).
Change in competition basis within the industry: Generally every organization wants to
be the top within their respective industry but the way everyone is putting efforts it

became quite complex to get the goal everyone wants. However, ICT helps the all
business in various ways like it provide the business few opportunities to grow like
promotion in digital marketing, promotions, technologies to improve the quality , services
as per the industry demand and this way the competition have been changed. Now the
competition have become more digital.
Improve overall performance of the organization: ICT helps the organization by
introducing a shift in their paradigm, improve their performance by re-evaluation among
various factors within the industry (Sadiah Zafar, Hashmi and Naz, 2017). It Leads the
company towards the improvement such as the way company can raise their performance
bar, the new services they can introduce towards the demand of the customers and by
setting the quality standards that should be introduced within the industry.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded as introduction of the information communication
technology is quite beneficial in each and every field. ICT have different applications in each
and every field. In business management ICT have beneficiary role in the fields of marketing,
finance, HR, production etc. Efforts of each and ever field have reduced efficiently with the
involvement of the technology. ICT also have important role in knowledge management as the
technology made the knowledge sharing and creating easier and accessible remotely. With the
involvement of ICT, business are also growing better in the sense of business. The overall
performance of businesses are increasing within the industries. The responses and services of the
business are improved, and the quality of services are also improving with the technologies. So
in the concluding manner it can be said as the ICT have been proved beneficiary in every aspect
and improving the system if being used properly.
