The company I work for odes not have any place for Formal IT governance framework.
In every company, there are several principles that are followed by every member of the
organization. These principles are important for structuring the bodies of decision making. The
key principles followed by various organizations are as follows
 Minimization of a particular business which would be considered by numerous groups should
be done (Butler and Rodrick 2015). This should be done by using useful reporting lines
between various proper accountability as well as bodies of decision making.
 A close relationship must be maintained among the objectives of strategies in the
organization’s plan which includes all the strategies and structure of decision making (Al-
Saggaf et al. 2015). This is done in order to ensure that various structures of decision making
are perfect for delivering the strategies.
 A good balance between the governance and government should be maintained by the
organization.
 The major committees of the company must concentrate on some matters of strategy and
policy including some aspects that are operational (Selig 2018). These matters must be
dealing with the help of some experienced professional staff who are involved in consultation
with colleagues and ad hoc as per the requirements of the company.
 An effective approach towards the process of making decisions must be used. These
approaches must have clear objectives, accountability, reporting, good quality of outputs as
well as reduction in required time and clean lines in achieving various needs of the
organization.

The points that are mentioned before have been compared with two of my classmates and
it has been found that a company where one of my friend works has various policies that are set
for structures of decision making and some of its policies match with the ones I have mentioned.
And another company is a multinational company where their policies are a bit different from
mine.

Australian standards give a specific framework to various directors of an organization.
These directors are the ones who advice the organization in case of any problem (Lloyd, Downes
and Romeo 2016). The directors have numerous responsibilities regarding, security, strategy, IT,
finances and many more operations that undergo in a particular organization like senior
managers, technical specialist, vendors and service providers in order to meet various factors that
help the organizations to use IT.
Australian standards include some factors that help numerous organizations to perform
efficiently, planning IT is one of those factors. The factors also help the organizations to ensure
that the ICT performs well and provides best results to the organization, acquiring validity of
ICT and many more. During my internship I had come across an Australian standard called
planning, with the help of an example we were explained how planning is very important for
every project that has to be executed effectively. We were divided into teams and asked to
perform a task. The lack of experience as well as knowledge in us lead to a chaos among the
group. After that the intern helped us to do the task with proper guidance. We were guided
regarding how planning is done and how it helps in diving a huge task into sub tasks and
different members can perform a single sub task which as a result helps the entire task to be

executed (Selig 2018). This Australian standard is important because planning is considered to
be the base of any project, if the execution of a project is planned before it is being executed in
real, there are higher chances for the project to be successful.

I have come across compliance legislation while fulfilling an ICT task when I was
working for an organization. The amount of data utilized by various Australian government
agencies requires to be managed based on its type as well as value (Daly 2018). An Australian
standard legislation that I have faced is human factors. This factor of Australian legislation states
that no employee working in an organization should be violated against the human factors. When
I was working for an organization, the HR of our company had once abused an employee who
belonged from scheduled tribe and used informal language against him (Caron et al. 2016). The
HR was then fired because he acted against the human factors and according to these factors
everyone should be respected irrespective of their cast, religion, gender, race and many more.
