1. To succeed in an ever changing ICT profession, it is very important to become a lifelong
learner. Do some background research, evaluate the information and write about your
understanding on being a lifelong learner and why it is important for ICT professional
(write with an example). (word limit: 150 words).
According to my understanding and experience lifelong learner is essential in the field of
information and communication technology. Being a lifelong learner has provided me with
opportunities to increase my knowledge base in different sectors. The professions of ICT
industry requires to develop new technical skills and information to sustain in the dynamic
environment. Lifelong learning also encourages supporting for coping up with the changes in the
industry and professional sector. It ensures for continuous development of the skills and the
abilities of an individual. I have observed and experienced with my previous learning and
knowledge that lifelong learning aids in developing the understanding of the technical
developments in the ICT profession. I have also acknowledged that lifelong learning is the
ability of an individual to grasp and learn different aspects and concepts. It ensures for effective
flow of information and the circulation of data between different sources of the data developing
systems.

2. Analyse the information you gathered in step 1, do some further research, evaluate the
information and write in your own words how you can become an effective lifelong learner

It is necessary for an individual working in the ICT profession to continuously learn and
develop. With my personal experience and background knowledge, I have accessed that lifelong
learning can be developed through different means and mediums. An individual can develop as a
lifelong learner by developing the zeal and momentum of learning. Ennoblement in different
programs and schedules can be executed to support lifelong learning. These programs and
seminars provide with an increased base of knowledge and develop an interest of the learner in
different fields and segments. It has been observed by me that ICT is a dynamic sector of the
profession which requires continual learning and knowledge development. I will generate my
interest in different learning styles and preferences that will accommodate for lifelong learning. I
also plan to read different journals and publications regarding the professions in ICT to develop
lifelong learning.

a. Briefly describe how you did the task (about the process).
I have accomplished this task with my background knowledge and information. The task has
been accomplished through lifelong learning and development of previous assignments and
assessments. I did this task my researching the net and presenting my background knowledge
regarding the areas of lifelong learning.
b. Evaluate and write a brief description of your experience of doing this task. Was this
task easy or hard? Justify your answer briefly (your justification may include if your past
knowledge helped you doing this task or if it was a total new experience for you).
This was an easy task and which only required me to reflect on my experience and background
knowledge of lifelong learning. The task was reflective and only required answering different
questions. It was a totally new experience which I had never experienced before.
c. Analyse critically and explain what have you learnt from this task? If you think you did
not learn anything then give reason why you think so?
I have learned about the significance of lifelong learning in the professions and work experience
of ICT. The tasks have also enhanced my knowledge regarding the development of lifelong
learning and its application in different sectors and domains.
d. How this experience will help you in the future? If you think that this experience will not
help you in the future, then provide your reasoning for that as well. (word limit: 200
words).
The task will aid me to develop an understanding of lifelong learning in different sectors and
fields. It will also aid me to strategically analyse the importance of lifelong learning in future
aspects. The experience will help me in the future by depicting greater areas and scope of
knowledge.
