1. This statement states that there is no need of developing the soft skills like communication
skills by the OCT professionals and they should focus on developing their technical skills as they
are required to write the programs, develop the information systems, solve the technical
problems and configuring the networking equipment. I am completely disagreeing with this
statement because as per my point of view, the ICT professionals must have good
communication skills. There are identified the need for good communication skills for every
professional working in any sector. There might be situations where the ICT professional is
required to deal with the clients to solve any kind of technical issues. At such tie, he is required
to ask the important questions from the customers regarding the problem. There is one real-life
example of my friend. My friend is working as an IT professional whose work is to develop
software. To understand the requirements of the software, he is required to deal with the
customers and ask important questions from them. This is not only important for the business
professionals to communicate with other people but the ICT professionals are also required to
discuss such things with other people.
2. b. The information provided in this reference cannot be found in the reference provided. The
reference taken cannot be used to support the paragraph given in this question. The reference
given is the article about the interference techniques for the Bayesian machine learning and the
paragraph provided above is providing the information regarding the active use of the machine
learning within different industries in Australia. Both the articles are not related to each other
hence they cannot be used as a reference. Yes, as per my point of view, the use of the reference
in this paragraph can create academic misconduct because the content is not related to the
content present in such an article. After reading the academic misconduct policy of CQU, it has
been identified that such academic misconduct is provided in the section 3.19 of the policy as
there is the discussion about the minor examination incident where here is no allegation of
cheating.
c. In completing the above tasks is inferring reading strategy. This strategy has proved to be the
best strategy for me to answer the above-given questions. As per this reading strategy, it is
brought together that what is spoken and what remained unspoken within the text provided. It is
also been considered that regarding such topic, what kind of information I already have

regarding such text. These techniques are used to extract as well as construct the meaning of
such text. To read the paragraphs given above, I have used such reading strategies to understand
the meaning of such text. The questions are answered after reading the text provided and
understanding it to understand what kind of misconduct is involved in such questions given.
