AI Summary
This report presents a multi-perspective ICT project focused on the Tassal Group, a prominent Australian salmon farming company. It identifies weaknesses and proposes recommendations for improvement, including the use of autonomous underwater vehicles for environmental monitoring, securing multiple food supply contracts to ensure timely delivery, implementing fish scales for accurate growth measurement, and optimizing product transportation costs. The action plan outlines steps for implementing these recommendations, along with an analysis of their impact on personnel, technology, processes, and procedures. The report emphasizes the importance of knowledge management, technology upgrades, process efficiency, and effective communication for enhancing the organization's overall performance and reputation. The document includes a SWOT analysis, problem and opportunity ranking, and detailed reference list.

Introduction
The purpose of this report is to develop a set of clear recommendations for my organization
including an action plan describing how the recommendations should be implemented. This
paper will also show the changes and impact of the action on personnel, technology, process, and
procedures. It will even describe how these recommendations will impact the organization’s
existing strategies. Based on the weaknesses faced by Tassal group, these are the
recommendations I would suggest;
Recommendations
1. Tassal group is meeting insufficient underwater environment control especially during
breeding; therefore, I would recommend the use of autonomous underwater vehicles that monitor
the environment of the water, checking for any signs of factors that may lead to the pool or fish
dying. Gascoigne, J. and Sieben, C., (2017, p.35) asserts that this machine should measure the
humidity and temperature of water to ensure that the fish are in a favorable condition for
breeding. It is important for the company to go through training and ensure that employees can
operate these vehicles. Also, a proper budget should be provided on the purchasing and
installation of these vehicles.
2. The delivery method of fishery food is a challenge. When food is not delivered on time, the
fish die which then leads to water pollution and this requires the employees and the company, in
general, to deal with the situation. Atlas, a.r.p.w.,( 2014, p. 39) evaluates that the company’s
finances hence face losses. I would recommend that the company ensures that signs a contract
with several companies on purchasing food, in case one company is out of stock, there is another
one available. I would also recommend the company to buy in plenty and ensure that timely
communication is done among employees and the finance department of that company.

3. It is difficult for the company to record and measure the growth of fish. I would recommend
that the company uses a fish scale that denotes various features of life history and in case of
doubtful elements, it should express ‘‘a degree of doubt’’ (Lee Shapovalov, 2011). Fish
measurement should be done after a specific period, using the appropriate measuring tools. Each
measuring should be recorded. They should also take into consideration that fish will shrink
rapidly after drying.
4. Product transportation is a huge cost. I recommend that the company have a proper budget
on all factors that come with shipping, such as fuel, import and export taxes, and means of
transportation. Treloar et al (2017, p.825) opine that these vehicles should have a GPS to monitor
their movement. Expensive means of transport should be used when necessary, but for short
deliveries, cheaper means of transportation should be used. (Russel D., John J., Everlyn A.,
2014). Shipping is a huge issue regarding the foreign markets of this corporation (Hawng and
Grant, 2016).

Sanchez et al C2016, p. 6) urgues that knowledge management allows employees to timely
understand whether the products meet the current market standards through the knowledge
management system. Training also ensures employee development, and this generally improves
the organization's performance. When employees are knowledgeable, tasks are easily performed.
2. Technology
Harrison, S., (2016, p. 34) reveals that technology will usually improve with the introduction of
the use of autonomous underwater vehicles and the installation of GPS on cars. The company
should ensure that its technology advances on a daily basis and should be updated on the
technological changes of the world.

The processing process will directly improve when technology improves. The process will be
more defined, faster effective and efficient. This then improves the production process and hence
enhancing the company’s production and reputation.
4. Procedures
Procedures will become active and will be efficiently done. With proper record keeping, it will
be easier to perform tasks. Free flow of communication will be possible, and employees will
work effectively with minimal challenges.
