This dissertation proposal explores the influence of staff motivation strategies on organizational productivity and performance, focusing on a case study of IKEA in the UK. The research aims to identify the concept of staff motivation, ascertain barriers to implementing motivational strategies, analyze the extent to which these strategies influence organizational performance, identify current motivational strategies adopted by IKEA UK, and investigate potential strategies to maximize productivity and performance. The literature review covers the concept of staff motivation, barriers to implementation, and current and potential strategies. The methodology employs a quantitative research approach, utilizing surveys and both primary and secondary data collection methods, with a sample size of 50 IKEA employees. Ethical considerations are addressed by adhering to BERA codes of ethics and the Data Protection Act to ensure data privacy and authenticity. The research concludes by emphasizing the use of appropriate methods and techniques to investigate and identify efficient staff motivation strategies to enhance organizational growth.
