citizens or residents of another country. In addition to this,
it is referred as movement of individuals with intention of
getting citizenship of the country.

Background
From the time of colonisation, United Kingdom is preferred
by people for work or study because of its strong allies with
other country. It has no impact on the overall employment,
wages and unemployment of UK born workers. Immigration
has positive influence on the innovation as well as
productivity, mainly so from highly skilled migration.

• Concept of the immigration
Immigration is referred to the procedure in which individuals
become permanent citizen to new country. In addition to this,
the method of immigration has been of great economic, cultural
and social benefits to the country. For instance, an individual
relocating permanently from Mexico to United Kingdom. There
are mainly three forms of immigration that is Employment-
based immigration, family-based immigration and
Humanitarian immigration.

There are various factors that directly cause the
movement of individual to another country. The main
reason are pull as well as push factors. Pull factors are
those that attract people to settle in that country whereas
pull factors are those which make an individual to leave
country of origin.

Summary
It is summarised that immigration never impact on one
sided, it affect both negatively and positively. In UK, the
immigration resulted negatively in UK in year 2007-2009
that made government to revise policies, laws and rules as
well. Recently, the UK government made VISA
complexities in order to decline the immigration curve.

From the above discussion, it has been concluded that
immigration has both positive as well as negative influence
on the economy. In addition to this, every country maintain
an equilibrium within the immigration level. It is analysed
that when it results negatively there is raise in requisite
condition that needed firstly to fulfil those conditions.
