1. Local and global impact of issue of immigrants
The social problem of immigrants from other nations affects both local and global
perspective. In the global context there are many economies such as USA, UK, Australia and
Asian countries which are the first choice for such immigrants. Though these immigrants
becomes the easy target or option for the cheap labours. Many countries such as Australia and
Canada are making good profits by having low cost labourers. However it is also observed that
many times the crime rate and limited resource availability influences the local economy
adversely (Leshem, 2017). The illegal immigration affects the social tension, crime rates and
poverty in the local regions. Thus the issue has impact on both global and local economy.
2. Problem existence
In some context the immigration problem is similar in both global and local perspective.
For instance the immigrants seeks huge struggle for employment, food and other basic necessity.
Some of these migrants often manages to get employment. However there is a huge difference
also. Some local economies are not developed enough that they can provide an opportunity to
these immigrants for improving their life style (Grzymala-Kazlowska, 2016). On the other hand
international hubs such as USA and Australia can completely change the life of immigrants by
delivering quality life. Another similarity which exist between both is that on both scales these
people are not accepted readily, it involves great struggle. Many times international agencies
have to interfere among local authorities so that they can allow these people for help.
3. Impact of globalisation
It can be concluded that globalisation has served as a great benefit for the immigrants as
with the globalisation it has become easy for the immigrants to explore the available countries
which can give them shelter and new life. It has also become easy for the people to start their life
from new perspective and new opportunities. There are several international agencies which
assures that such immigrants are not discarded and are provided equal chance for quality life and
survival.

The sociological theories such as conflict theory and functionalism theory regulate the
similarities and differences between global and local manifesto of the problem. These theories
highlights the basic nature of social groups that how their behaviour can be changed and
influenced in adopting or dealing with any social issue. It affects the difference in global
perspective and local scenarios.
5. Application of sociological theory to analyse the rationale for the
comparison
As per conflict theory scare resources can cause conflicts among people and weak
communities are exploited by the influential. This is one of the reason that immigrants are
considered as easy target for exploited and low cost labourers and thus many international
economies does not hesitate to accept them (Leshem & Shuval, 2017). On the other on the local
level the limited opportunities of employment and food can make these immigrants as a target
for the hatred.
