1ROBOTS AND AI IN WORKPLACE
Introduction
The article discusses on the fact that robots will soon replace humans in work place
and there will be revolutionary changes in the workplace. In this paper, the article will be
reviewed.
Content of the article
The article discusses on the future environment of workplaces as humans have to
work with robots around them and there are high chances that gradually these robots will
replace the humans in the workplace. People are insecure about their job and feel that in near
future robots and AI will be effective in replacing humans from the workplace (Wisskirchen
et al., 2017).
Position of author
The author is of the opinion that in near future, robots and AI will definitely replace
humans. The dynamics environment at the workplace will support the technology and this has
already come into existence in many organizations. Machines are being trusted for various
difficult tasks and mainly for those which have life risks (Saner & Wallach, 2015). With the
technologies developed almost 45 percent of the jobs can be automated and the some have
chances to be partly automated.
Reasons supporting the author’s position
The author has not only stated the facts but has also provided some facts and
evidences to prove his part. For example, in the article there are many examples cited such as
self-driving cars and the bank tellers being substituted by cash machines. The author has
given proper examples to prove his point. The author makes his idea clear that the emerging
technology has the potential to replace the humans in the workplace (Gladden, 2018). The
success of self-driving cars and drones in delivery proves that technology is spreading its
roots at a faster rate.

Conclusion
I agree with the author to some extent as technology has the potential to replace
humans and this is evident from the fact that there are many areas such as banks where
automation has already stepped in. The main concern in this case is income inequality and
unemployment. The author’s position is clear as it is a fact that once humans get to use
modern technologies they won’t be back to traditional systems. In the article, the author also
tells about that it can be just hype like what happened during industrial revolution but
according to him there are high chances that robots and AI will substitute humans in the
workplace. Thus it can be said that author has provided necessary examples to prove his point
and the content of the article is relevant.
