EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report provides an analysis on various ways through which an organisation can
maximise its benefits and reduce the challenges of Urban Park. The project covers a analysis of
various impacts on Urban Park which incudes Health impact, Economic, Tourism and
Hospitality, Social and Environmental Impacts.

INTRODUCTION
Urban park is a place of recreation, greenery, community fun and picnic spot having
natural or planted space set for people so that they can enjoy the environment. The Urban Park
protects wildlife by planting more and more trees. It includes rock, monuments, soil, fountains,
trees and playground structures (Zhang and Tan, 2019). The park is owned by public, private or
public-private ownership. Urban Park is describe as a piece of land having greeneries and trees
which is enjoyed by visitors, municipalities and residents. Government and private owners are
responsible for maintaining, designing and operating the activities of park on Local level. The
Urban park have various features including gardens, picnic facilities, fitness trails, bridle paths,
sports fields and public restrooms but these all features depends on the budget of Local council.
They only decide whether to include these feature or build a simple urban park. There are several
benefits of Urban park which is utilize by public and local council. The Urban Park provide an
opportunity of recreation, value of property also get enhanced, prevent near by residents and
cities from environmental impacts (Yuen and Jenkins, 2020). Park provides people to increase
their mental stability and reduce stress and tension which they take from their busy schedule.
Urban park also reduces mental stress and prevent from physical health issues. It creates job
opportunities for people by attracting businesses and residents. City can gain the advantage of
Urban park as it helps in cleaning air and reducing heat effects. The Urban Park have benefits for
people and local councils but it also have challenges which is faced by builder, these are lack of
proper planning, funding, investments, location for creating park and problem of maintenance,
safety and cleanliness. The aim of this project is to analyse different ways to increase benefits
and reduce challenges which are associated by Urban Park. The report also covers an analysis
which includes impact of Health, Economic, Tourism, Hospitality and Event Industries,
Environmental perspective and Social perspective.
ANALYSIS
In this report an analysis consist the impacts of different perspective including Health,
Economic, Social, Environmental and Tourism.
Health Impacts
Health impact is related with people for remaining fit and Healthy, this analysis is
conducted to know how Urban park provides health benefits to visitors and residents. The

benefits include impact of green spaces on health, well being and challenges of encouraging use
of Urban park.
Impact of Green Spaces on Health
There are various impacts of Green spaces on Health of people, as it contributes in
improving their physical activity and reduces stress (Enssle and Kabisch, 2020). By visiting in
Urban park, people enjoy natural environment which helps in improving mental health. It is said
that people who are ill can get faster recovery by doing medication in park as compare to visiting
in Hospital.
Impact of Green spaces on Well being
The Urban park also creates an impact of Green spaces as it increases the physical well-
being of public. The air quality of Urban park creates a positive impact on their health. The green
spaces helps visitors to reduce stress, health inequalities and mental disorders.
Challenges of encouraging the use of Park
As Urban park provides various benefits to people but there are various challenges which
must be taken for encouraging the use of Park. Visitors must use the advantage of having a
Urban park near by their residents as it is a place to get healthy and fit. The Public must use park
by taking experience of fresh atmosphere that can help preventing from illness, mental disorders
and stress.
Economic Impacts
Job Creation
By developing a new Urban Park, the Local council can create various Job opportunities
for local people. The Local council requires workers for constructing, designing, maintaining the
activities of park, Security person, gardener, Ticket seller and many other. The role of Gardner is
to monitor plants and trees, watering and trimming plants and keeping walkways areas clean
(Cheesbrough, Garvin and Nykiforuk, 2019). A Gardner must have a knowledge of carious
gardening techniques, ability to use various equipments and must have manual skills. A well
designer is required who can give innovative ideas in making Urban Park more attractive so that
more and more visitors reach. For handling the safety of people and protecting property, Security
guard is must required. They Inspect park, monitor surveillance equipments, prevents from any
damages and secure gate of Urban Park. Ticket seller is responsible for selling ticket to people
who want to visit Urban Park.

Cost to Tax payer of Building park
There are various cost occurred while constructing a park which must be paid by Local
Council. They have to pay Income tax, parking fees, maintenance fees and electricity fees.
Building a new Urban park increases the value of near by property which increases the cost of
Local tax payer. The People and businesses are ready to pay high tax for taking a property near
by Urban Park as it increases their reputation.
Attracting New Businesses
By Building a new park in local city attracts businesses to establish their operation
activities near by Park. As More and more people visit Urban park to have fun and enjoy the
nature and greenery (Saitta and et. al., 2019). Generally businesses prefers to establish their firm
near by park so that the value of Company get increased and attract employees to work in their
premises. The Organisation get several benefits if they have Campus near by Urban park such as
their employees get motivated and can relax their mind by taking rest from workload. The
workers could spend their free time in Urban park and experience greenery around them.
Impact on Tourism, Hospitality and Event Industries
Opportunity for Holding events in Park
Urban park can also grab an opportunity to attract more visitors by holding an event so
that people from out of town also visit to watch the event. As Urban park usually covers a large
space in which an event could be conducted easily. The event attract tourism from out of the city
which increase the value of park and attractiveness of Local City.
Logistical Challenges of Holding Events in Park
For holding an event in Urban Park requires various logistic for running event
successfully. The logistic challenges of Holding event in park is all about planning and moving
items from one place to another and ensures that people may visit on event at accurate time.
Development of Permanent Hospitality Facilities
Urban park also gives an opportunity to shops and other outlets to develop a permanent
Hospitality Facility. They can open their canteen and cafe near by or inside the Urban Park. The
Hospitality services increases the gathering of people and also boost the profit of Shop (Sikorska
and et. al., 2020).
Environmental Perspective
Pollution

Urban parks helps in reducing pollution as it create a great impact on air, water and land.
There are various types of pollution which affects the natural environment they are noise
pollution, water pollution, light pollution, air pollution and many other. The Urban park helps in
reducing the pollution as it creates a fresh air and maintain air temperature (Azevedo, 2020).
The air pollution is reduced due to various trees and greenery located in Urban park. For
reducing noise pollution , local council must design boundaries by trees and greeneries so that
minimum noise pollution could impact Urban Park.
Sustainability
Here, Sustainability means meeting the needs without compromising natural
environment. The sustainability includes three pillars such as society, economy and environment.
Sustainability is important for Urban park to maintain quality in environment by providing
healthy communities, natural resources, clean air and non-toxic area. The Urban park helps in
regulating quality of air and reduces the heat. It is important to create a bio diversity in Urban
park as it creates a balance between mankind and nature. Sustainability could be created if
people know how to grab the facilities of Park by maintaining cleanliness (Tian, and et. al.,
2020).
Social Perspective
Community Development
Urban parks helps in developing community as it provides a gathering place for people,
they can spend some time with their families, friends and social groups. It is also known for
community development rather than only for recreation and leisure. The Urban park also
promote social cohesion as it provides a place for social interaction. Children can also play safely
in Urban park as the local council take care of safety and security of People. In Urban park
people also participate in group activities through which they gain health and social benefits. The
designing of park attract people to visit again and again in Urban park and enjoy with their
family and relatives (Fanfani, 2019). Through Community development visitors can create an
opportunity or sports and recreational activities. If people interact with each other in Urban park
it helps in reducing stress and boost motivation among them. Community development supports
cultural activities and diversity in Urban parks and create a space from busy working schedule
for enjoying the moment.
Gentrification

Gentrification creates an impact on the health issues and economy by affecting
community culture and reducing social capital. Through gentrification process local council must
build Urban park in developing area which is changing from low to high. Gentrification
introduces to the process of changing character of a neighbourhood via the influx of more
affluent business and residents. In case of urban park, there is requirement for developing park in
urban areas. Thus, there is a requirement for investing money to develop urban park (Nitoslawski
and et. al., 2019).
CONCLUSION
It is being concluded that building a new Urban Park gives lot of benefits to people and
local council. They can avail the benefits of freshness in air due to park as it included greenery
and trees which provides clean air and reduces the heat. Urban park helps people by preventing
them from health and mental disorders. The park helps in reducing pollution whether it would
be noise, air, water and any other. The air pollution is reduced by decreasing carbon emission
and provide fresh air to people. It also helps in reducing noise pollution as Urban park consist
various tees which absorbs noise generated by vehicles and human beings. The park also helps in
preventing water floods as it absorbs excess water which is incurred by flood. For building an
Urban park they require an employees who can contribute their best in providing better services
to people. It also provides a health benefits to people which decreases the expenses of people
related to health issues. Urban park is an area which provide various benefits to people they can
interact with social groups and increase social cohesion.
RECOMMENDATION
The park must be build with creative and innovative designs that attract people to visit
again and again. Urban Park must have playground fro children so that they can spend their time
and live childhood moment. The park must be constructed fulfilling the needs and requirements
of people. Local council must analyse the requirements of people and construct park accordingly.
It should have useful architectural features including restrooms, shelters, picnic spot, disposal
area so that people can spend more time in Park. Local council must build a urban park where
people can easily gather and visit the place without facing any problem. Urban Park must
provide facilities of Gym, games and other activities so that people could get engage in these
activities and spend their time. The park must be neat and clean that attracts people and enable

them to maintain the cleanliness in Urban park. Local council must think innovating to increase
the gathering of public in park they can organise an event while inaugurating Urban park in City
as it increases the number of visitors. For Making Urban park different a cafe and library can
gain the attention of more and more people. A proper team of employees must be there to take
care of functioning and operation of park and ensures that the activity runs in proper flow. The
Local Council decides whether they want to make enter public for free else they have to pay a
certain amount for visiting Park.
