AI Summary
This research project plan investigates the impact of Brexit on the theatre industry in the UK, specifically focusing on the West End. The study explores the rationale behind the research, highlighting the significance of Brexit and its potential effects on tourism and theatre shows. The introduction outlines the research methods, which include a qualitative approach and both primary and secondary data collection. The research aims to analyze the impact of Brexit on West End theatres and identify ways to mitigate any negative consequences. Objectives include understanding the concept of Brexit and its impact on the UK, along with specific effects on West End theatres. Research questions are formulated to guide the investigation. The methodology includes convenience sampling, questionnaires, and analysis of secondary data from books, journals, and online articles. A time plan, presented in a Gantt chart, is proposed, along with a list of relevant references. This project provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the complex relationship between Brexit and the UK theatre industry.

Research Project Plan
(Proposal)
This exercise is designed to make you able to plan research project for the area of
your interest. (Formative assessment)
Title/Topic: Think of your research title and topic…….after reading the question in the assignment.
The impact of Brexit on theatre shows of UK.
Rationale/
Background:
Write the basis or foundation for this research……….read given scenario in the
assignment…..
This can include:
History about the organisation or the topic
The Brexit is a contractual term which is presently in limelight because of
various reasons. As per the terms of Brexit, UK will be exit from EU
countries and will be an individual body. The referendum which was held on
23 June, 2016, there 51.9% of votes were polled in favour of leaving EU. As
per this contract, there will be a great impact on trading and other terms for
both EU and UK. As per the present study, the impact of Brexit is studied on
theatre shows of London (Dhingra and et.al., 2016). As per this, the research
has been done on this subject with a deeper insight to know the implication of
Brexit and its effect on the theatre shows. The major purpose of conducted the
study on selected topic is to have a greater knowledge of Brexit on various
areas with a special reference to the theatre shows. Further, this will also help
various research aspirants and scholars to have knowledge on Brexit issue
(Fernandes, 2016). It is the most recent and controversial topic in the present
time because of which the research study done on mentioned theme will help
in increasing knowledge about it, along with its benefits and drawbacks.
Introduction Introduce your topic.... and the way you will carry out your research.....methods
The Brexit is composed of two terms 'Britain' and 'Exit' where the UK

also be apparent on theatre shows of London. In the said country, the West
end theatre expresses a common term for large theatres where professional
actors use to give their presentations (Lim, 2017). Due to Brexit, there will be
restriction on crossing of borders between both the countries. As a result,
there will be a restriction on crossing borders because of which tourism
activities will be less. The west end theatre heavily relies on tourism activity
because of which the business of the said industry will be impacted. The
present research will be based on making a deeper investigation on Brexit
along with its mixed impacts on West end theatres. Apart from this, the
research will be done with the help of collecting data from various sources so
that the results can be obtained which are more reliable and accurate (Miller,
2016). Moreover, collected data will be analysed to make proper conclusion
and recommendation as well which will help in getting better approach of the
Brexit and its impact on the stated business sector.

Research
strategy:
Qualitative
approach
vs
Quantitative
approach
What kind of research approach would you adopt?
Qualitative vs. quantitative…describe…..
There are two types of method through which the collected data can
be analysed. The major ways through which data is analysed are qualitative
and quantitative methods. As per the qualitative method, the collected data is
analysed by making various themes which are based on identifying various
issues and common patterns. While, in quantitative method of analysis,
various statistical tools are applied like SPSS to analyse the data (Williams,
2011). In addition, mean, mode, median etc. are calculated for the data to
analyse it. In current research, the qualitative method of analysis will be
applied ion which themes will be determined and analysed.
Primary/
Secondary
Research
How are you going to go about the research
There are two methods through which data collection can be done which are
primary method and secondary method. As per the primary method of data
collection, the information is arranged on first hand basis. Thus, the collected
data is fresh in this method. While in secondary method, the data is collected
by referring previous researches done and published in books, journals,
magazines etc. Both methods of research have been used ion present research
study (Snyder, 2012).

Sources of
Data
Outline secondary vs. primary data……sources.....
he source of data used in present study is primary and secondary method.
Population
and
Sampling
Determine population. What sampling method will you be using
……..discuss…..determine sample size....
The sampling is a method through which the universe consisting large
size of population is divided into small units for easy study (Keightley, 2010).
As per this, the sampling can be done for current research with the help of
convenience sampling method in which 20 employees of the West end theatre
will be approached.
Data
collection
methods
Questionnaire, interviews e.t.c…….which one….? Decide with justification…
The source of data used in present study is primary and secondary where for
primary data collection, the questionnaire method is used. While for
secondary data collection books, journals, newspapers, online articles etc. are
used.
Time plan
and
resources
required
Your time plan….. start and finish date…. Resources needed..
The time scale and activities will be divided for the present study according to
which a Gantt chart has been developed which will help in determining
various tasks according to time.
