Impact of Bullying in Middle School
Bullying creates negative impact on several students, teachers and parents. It occurs among the
teenagers due to several factors such as, by heavy usage of internet, watching criminal activities
in various websites and by the use of excessive drugs. It results in several negative outcomes like
suicide, mental health and use of firearms (Middle School Students Share Personal Struggles
with Bullying, 2019). It has been observed from the video that more than thousands of students
stays at home because of bullying and few of them who remain in schools, commits suicide. Two
hundred fourteen (214) of the middle schools are worried about bullying among the students.
Many students said that they were bullied by the strong students due to their different
personality, behavior and attitudes (Mahler & Kimmel, 2019). It has been seen that students gets
interested in harassing other students, merely for fun and this generates negative impact on those
students. On the other hand, because of violence and abuse, many teenagers gets afraid to go
school.
2 Short replies How bullying affects Individuals
Bullying affects teenagers, individuals and students in various ways. Students absent their school
and sometimes their self-esteem gets lower due to bullying. Individuals who suffer from bullying
can experience the feeling of loneliness, depression, loss of interest in exciting activities, change
in sleep and could not achieve their respective academic goals (Espelage et al., 2018).
Bullying also affects kids in several ways. The kids who suffer from bullying at younger age,
engage themselves in various criminal activities like violence, abuse, drugs or alcohols with
other kids. Those who notice activities of bullying and do not protest against bullying, are
responsible for harassing other students and they should be punished. Bullying affects so
dangerously, that as a result, the entire environment of the school is affected badly, the students
have to face difficulty in learning, they feel insecure in school and they start hating their school.
