Range of communication
Verbal communication-
This aspect of communication states that when an individual engages in communication
with other people it is verbal communication. Due to change in technology this aspect has
changed a lot as it can now be done on mobile phones through Skype, Zoom, Google Duo etc.
Non verbal communication-
This aspect includes communication on the basis of gestures made through eye contact,
movements of hand, body language, expressions on the face etc.
Written communication-
This aspect includes different forms of communication which is used in private as well as
public life. For instance email, tweet, contract, report and memo are all the aspects which comes
under this aspect on a day to day basis. All they need to be concerned about that write it in a
proper format with no errors (Yu, Lin and Liao, 2017).
Visual communication-
This aspect states that communication is covered with visually enabled aspects such as
television, Instagram, Facebook etc. the images posted privately or publicly on these platforms
has a meaning or a message to convey. This aspect made the communication possible without
even thinking of it.
Current and relevant issues of communication
Currently the whole world is suffering from a deadly virus which goes by Covid-19.
Many of the services were stopped but it was communication who made it possible to understand
the impact of this disease. Many companies has been taking their meetings online through Zoom
in order to avoid contact. Also many of the professional artists has been using this and other
platforms, other than this people have been in contact of their friends and families through this
aspect. Although there are many issues faced by the people such as older generation are not
friendly with this kind of experience which was why they were facing difficulties in connecting

with other people. Also these aspects did not turn out to be safe as many companies stated that
Zoom was not safe to be used as it releases personal data which can affect the business of the
company.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages-
Promotes understanding-
If the communication is effective it removes the aspect of assumptions in the context.
This way people understand the message loud and clear without any confusions (Patel, 2017).
Build and maintains relationship-
Relationships on a personal level is established on the bound of effective communication.
This way trust is created and conflicts are reduced in order to get the bond stronger.
Disadvantages-
Negative acknowledgement-
It is not necessary that even a strongly delivered message can be able to influence the
thought process of the targeted audience.
Not being heard-
It is not mandatory that even if the speaker has adequate skills the delivery of the
message will be successful. It is up to the audience as if they do not listen to it then they won’t
understand the message of it.
