INTRODUCTION
The respective report is based on determining the impact of COVID-19 on the delivery of
services provided by general practitioners in various healthcare settings. This is because people
who are suffering with infections like common cold or fever, are not allowed in the hospitals as
there is no staff available to attend them. This has led these patients to suffer and treat their
condition themselves.
Research Aim
“Impact of COVID-19 on the delivery of services provided by general practitioners in
various healthcare settings.”
MAIN BODY
Current Literature: Indicate the state of the topic
COVID-19 has basically developed a sense of empirical fragility through exposing
vulnerabilities of health systems around the entire world. The issue has created a drastic impact
over the livelihood of people and millions people have lost their jobs and are staring towards an
uncertain future (Aggarwal, Lippi and Michael Henry, 2020). In the duration of the crisis, the
general practitioners across the world have been impacted. And due to this, the level as well as
quality of service delivery has been impacted.
Issues: Analysis done of the positions and debates
Issues discussed in this report include the impact of COVID-19 over the economy,
COVID-19 pandemic situation, chronic pain and its impact over the human body (Horesh and
Brown, 2020). Besides this the influence of corona virus on the lifestyle of people has also been
discussed. Other issues that are discussed include death of the people, significance of current
health care systems, effective actions, lack of public transport and loss of life.
The Gap:
The research gaps in this study include lack of quality in the delivery of services that are
provided by general health care practitioners (Watanabe and et. al., 2020). What is the impact of
COVID-19 on the delivery of services provided by general practitioners in various healthcare
settings? There is another gap as the secondary research did not help in getting the ground
reviews. I chose the literature so that I can do in depth analysis of research.

Current Research Studies
This study is focussed on the pandemic situation of COVID-19 and its impact over the
economy including health care workers. It also focuses on the perspective on it being an
unfolding crisis. Besides this, chronic pain that is one of the causes of suffering from COVID-19
is also a major pandemic situation for people which has been discussed (Escobar, Molina-Cruz
and Barillas-Mury, 2020). It has been observed that frontline healthcare workers (HCWs) are at a
higher risk of getting affected from COVID-19 due to excessive exposure. The physical and
psychological well-being of our HCWs is being tested as patient loads continue to increase.
Current Discoveries about the topic COVID-19 has significantly impacted the delivery of
services provided by general practitioners in various healthcare settings.
Various areas are discussed in this report that analyse the issues faced during this
pandemic situation. They include an analysis of the healthcare workers and services that are
currently provided to the patients. This pandemic has increased the possibilities of death and also
affected the economic activities in a negative way. The immune response and opioid therapy are
also discovered while analysing different articles. This review purpose at summarizing the
information of the physical as well as mental health impacts of COVID-19 on health-care
workers (HCWs). It has been discovered that there is a lack of public transport due to which
there is huge impact on people.
General conclusions being drawn
It is concluded that COVID-19 is one of the major issue or crisis that put negative impact
over the economic and quality of life. Lack of resources plays a crucial role in providing services
to health care patients that contributes in improving their health. COVID-19 is a global issue that
has reduced the economic condition of different nations. It has also been concluded that the
immune system of people is closely related to chronic pain.
Methodologies and methods in use
Qualitative method is used in the report along with both primary and secondary methods
to collect data (Sarmadi, Marufi and Moghaddam, 2020). The researcher has invited physicians
and psychologists to be a part of the panel and share their views. A systematic literature review
has also been used as a methodology.
