Abstract
Diabetes has become a vulnerable aspect for adolescent and aged people. Type 1 and
Type 2 diabetes have become very common among old people. This paper is mainly trying to
highlight the effectiveness of diabetes among old people of above 50 years of age. Qualitative
study has been done here for collecting secondary data. Five themes are raised which show an
argumentative study could on the whole issue. After having the outcome, it could be stated
that more advanced therapies would be needed for reducing the risk of having diabetes.
Proper diet must be needed for controlling the problems associated to diabetes.

facts and findings in the most effective manner, which allowed the current findings to outline

Diabetics are one of the diseases, on which the blood sugar level and the glucose level
becomes very high. Blood glucose level is the ultimate source point of energy and comes
from the food that people consumes daily (Garber et al., 2015). On the other hand, the role of
insulin contributed to the most important part of the blood sugar level. Insulin is a hormone
made by the pancreas and allowed glucose from the food to get into the cell, mainly used for
energy formation in the body (American Diabetes Association, 2018). Type one and Type
two, are the two kinds of diabetics, where the subsequent part of the study determined a

Diabetes has been serious issues for people above 50 years of age. This paper is trying to
evaluate the effect of poor management of type 2 diabetes on the health and well-being of
adults aged 50-65 years in the UK. There are different journals and articles present on this
particular issue but more explanation is required for justifying the concept effectively as
people aged between 55 and 60 is more prone to diabetes and this rate has been growing
rapidly (Perkovic et al., 2019). Research study has indicated the need for better management
of type 2 diabetes in older people because of ageing associated vascular complications, co-
existing multiple co-morbidities and increase in cognitive and physical dysfunction. Hence,
considering the presence of multi-comorbidities considering the consequence of poor
management of diabetes among people aged 50-65 years is crucial to provide adequate
support, preserve their independence and quality of life (Abdelhafiz and Sinclair 2013). The
research is also significant considering the fact that management of diabetes is much more
complicated in older adults because of the impact of multiple co-existing medical on clinical
management (Kalyani, Golden and Cefalu 2017). Hence, due to lack of convincing evidence
regarding the impact of type 2 diabetes among people aged 50-6 years, this research work is
considered important. For evaluating appropriate outcome, more evidences on proper
management of the disease on this condition would be required. In UK, old people are highly
getting trouble due to the consequences of diabetes. It has been found through analysis that,

The present research aims to undergo the process towards identifying and analyzing the
percentage of diabetic patients aged 50-65 years in UK, identifying current diabetes
management strategy and evaluated the relationship between poor management of Type 2
Diabetes among older people in the UK.
