Topic of research: Impact of digital technology on transformation of business
operational practices and activities: A study of Bulgari hotel, London.
Background of study:
Technology has been playing important part for each organisation since few last decades
in terms of helping various business practices in industry (Beetham and Sharpe, eds., 2013). In
context of digital technology, it has helped each business sector to smoothly completion to their
day to day activities. In today's world, digital technology has been grown at advanced level and it
is making great impact upon running of business operational and other functional activities in
respective manner.
In terms of hotel industry, the technology has performed a vital role to conduct all
business operational and functional activities in an appropriate form. Several day-to-day
operational works are being done at workplace and with the help of digital applications; hotel
industry is growing well in their separated sector.
The report will indicate about digital technological instruments that have played an
important role in terms of helping enterprises in achieving their desired business goals and
objectives. Involvement of technological evolution has helped the hospitality industry to gain
desired success in marketplace.
In this context, the following project will be assessed on the impact of digital
technologies on day-to-day operational and other business functional practices of Bulgari Hotel,
London. The hotel is doing variety of marketing and promotional activities or day to day
operational practices to completion of each business task. For completion of it, its professionals
are utilising digital instruments to automation of several business process effectively.
Furthermore, the report will be investigated on preparing project management plan in which
covers, cost, risk, time, communication and quality etc. (Bell, 2014). work background structure
and Gantt Chart will be prepared by the researcher that displaying the series of activities on the

existing performance of business. It was identified that digital technology has improved the
integrated performance level of the hotel to get engaged with all employees or departments. Out
of 15, 9 employees were agreed with positive influence of digital technology upon performance
level of the hotel. 3 employees were not sure about it. Thus, it can be examined that the digital

Interpretation: In the survey conducted at Bulgari Hotel, the researcher asked about types of
digital technology being utilised to improve its performance level. The major purpose of asking
this question to know about actual digital tools which is most used by company to performing
well in industry. From the assessment, out of 15 respondent samples, 8 employees were agreed
with utilisation of mobile technology at workplace most to performing well. 3 employees have
said that artificial intelligence has been used by firm the most. Rest of them, 3 respondents were
agreed with virtual reality and 1 with online platforms. Thus, from above analysis, it can
