Introduction
Digital technology has changed the scenario of business. Over a period of time changes
in technologies have helped companies in transformed business activities (Laudon and Laudon,
2015). These digital technologies has improved business performance of companies and has
supported in managing their operations well. Present study is based on Nisa retail firm which is
small size retail firm. Company operates its business at limited area but it is offering high quality
retail products to consumers. Current report will frame aim and objective for the present topic.

Background of the study
Digital transformation has improved performance of companies, it has supported in
making changes in operational, marketing, human resource and many other activities of business.
There are various technologies that are used by the firm in order to enhance their performance/.
These are such as Mobile technology, social media tool etc. All these techniques help the entities
in gaining new opportunity to grow well (Westerman, Bonnet and McAfee, 2014). Digital
transformation is helping companies in expanding their business and reaching to mass audience.
That is why now small size firms are able to earn high profit and develop their products in order
to satisfy needs of consumers. Cloud technology is the best technique that helps in sharing
information so that administrative function can be improved. Internet has improved structuring
of business and supported in raising sales volume
Aim: To identify impact of digital technologies on business activities: A study on Nisa retail

Problem statement
Technological Updation are helpful for firm it helps them in improving operational
efficiency. Most of the firm are unable to implementing these digital technologies due to various

reason. This study will help in making them are with the benefits of implementing digital

be finished on time (Kehoe and Mateer, 2015).
 Cost: It is considered as one of the most important element. It is responsibility of project
manager that to ensure that effective allocation of funds take place in the project so that
no issues can get created. This will help in managing cost well. If manager utilize
resources well then entire project will completed on time (Goyal, 2017).
 Scope: This project has high scope, as this will support small business units in finding
ways to implement digital technologies in workplace so that they can get influenced

Research methodology is the tool that supports the organization in conducting operations
in smooth manner. There are various tools and techniques that are used in order to carry out an
investigation (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015). But it is essential for researcher that to look
at the type of study and accordingly individual needs to involve methods to complete the project.
Tools and techniques are as following:
 Research philosophy: It is essential type of research methodology that define the
researcher the way of collecting information. There are two main types of philosophies
that are used in different type of research project: interpretivism and positivism. Both
these are unique in nature and are applied in different research projects (Flick, 2015).
Interpretivism is the tool that is applies in qualitative type of project. This believes in
involving theories and models in order to collect information. Researcher involves human
being in the research so that real facts can be collected. On other hand positivism is
another method that formulates hypotheses in order to find out the data about the topic. In
the present study scholar has applied interpretivism philosophy. This has helped in

conducting research. Inductive and deductive are two main method. inductive is type of
tool that is applies in qualitative type of researches. In this researcher does not formulate
