Digital technology can be described as the equipments that include computing,
communication and content (Nambisan, 2017). Now a day’s technology has become very
important part of individual life and day to day practices of a person in highly influence by
digital technology practices. In this report impact of digital technology in changing life of 21st
century has been determined. It includes consideration of current technological devices presence
as well as advantages and disadvantages of digital technology devices have been identified.

influencing people’s decision about work and play.
In 21st century digital technology has changed the way people life and influence over living
standards. Digital technology lead to have impact over day to day activities of a person. With the
introduction of new and digital technology peoples decision making process regarding work as
well as play has been highly influence (Orben and Przybylski, 2019). There is high presence of
new and digital technology in most of people’s home which is directly affecting the daily
practices and impact over capability of conducting task. The common digital devices that are
most popular in homes are Smart phone, Laptop, computer, Television, robot cleaners,
programmable appliance and many other. These digital devices are significant for keeping kids
entertained, strengthening family bond and assists in task. Due to high digital technology
presence interaction of people is also dependence over technology. With the introduction of
digital technology there are pros and cons. Advantage as well as disadvantages of peoples
interaction with digital technological devices are mention below –
 Advantages – Digital technology has increase social connectivity among different
people. Social networking site area able to effectively work due to digital technology and
it helps people to stay connected with family, friends and other people. Through this
communication speed has been increase and digital technology has introduced new and
fast ways of communication (Scherer, Siddiq and Tondeur, 2019). Digital technology is
beneficial for individual as it has increased more learning opportunity. Now anyone can
learn new skills or capability form anywhere with the support of digital technology. This

is important for storing information and people are able to save large amount of media
that includes videos, photos, contact information and so on. Through digital technology
such as CCTV individual can record intruders and it improves security in home.
 Disadvantages – There are several drawbacks of digital technology which can lead to
have impact over day to day practices of individual. Security of data is one of the major
issues due to digital technology. Because of high technology it is more easy for criminal
to carry out crime. This lead to create more complexity in individual life and affect living
standards of a person. Modern and digital technological devices increase complexity and
issues as well as reduce face to face interactions with others. Digital technology has
created the issue or concern in privacy of individual as well as enhances the problem of
hacking personal data or information.
CONCLUSION

daily practices and it will lead to directly affect the behaviour or interaction of individual. Digital
