helps in brining innovation and development of firm. The main aim of the current study is to
analyses impact of digital technology on small business growth and innovation. Present report
will produce project management plan by considering cost, scope, time and quality. Data will be
collected in respect to impact of digital technology and this information will be interpreted in this
assignment for analysing effectiveness of technologies. At the end of the study reflection will be
undertaken in which learning and performance of the researcher will be described.

only possible when company implements digital technologies in the workplace (Smith and
Lewis, 2011). It can support firms in improving operational efficiency and can bring
innovation in the workplace. By this way corporations can provide satisfactory services to
consumers and can meet with their needs. Digital platform is considered as one of the best
way through which performance of the company can be boost up. Though implementing
these advance technologies in the workplace requires huge investment, due to which
operational cost of the firm can be increased. It is very difficult for the small firms to
implement this digital technology in the organization because it can increase their cost. But
use of smart phones, internet, computers can help these small firms in making good
communication with the consumers and attracting them towards the brand (Soni and Kodali,

Hilton, Marriott hotel etc. those which are operating their business digitally. They coordinate

objective of the study. For completing this project researcher will have to invest amount in
transportation, printing and stationary etc. It is essential to have adequate amount so that
individual can collect data and can complete this project within stipulated period of time. In
order to conduct this study scholar will require 400 Pound. 100 Pound will require for printing
and questionnaire, 50 Pound will be needed for data collection, transportation cost would be 80
pound. Uses of software for data analyses will require amount 170Pound. Apart from this,
company will have to invest 700 Pound for implementing this new digital technology so that
more benefit can be gained.
Scope of the study: Digital technology has changed the condition of the market. It has
increased competition in the market and has supported in the growth of the business units
(Aaker, 2011). This study has huge scope because with the help of this study small companies
will get idea to bring innovation and growth in the firm through these digital technologies. This
can support them in increasing their profitability and minimizing operational errors. This can

very important for the growth of small organization. With the help of this tool administration,
communication, distribution function can be done in the workplace in effective manner.
Time: It is essential to manage time well manager has to schedule activities properly for
completing project within stipulated period (Abdillah, 2014). If this scheduling is missing then it
may create consequences for the business. Individual has to prepare Gantt chart ad have to break
activities so that actual time duration can be identifies and researcher can schedule it properly.
Communication: In order to collect the data scholar needs to apply primary data
collection sources. Individual will prepare questionnaire for the same. If researcher fails to
coordinate well with the resonant then it may create difficulty in gathering information about the

philosophies of research: interpretivisim and positivism. Interpretvismis the tool that is used in
qualitative type of studies in which scholar has to find answers by taking support of theories.
Whereas positivisms another technique that focuses on facts and statistics. It frames hypothesis
and try to prove that hypothesis. This is used in quantitative type of projects. In the current
research scholar has taken support of interpretivism philosophy. It is considered as most effective
tool because it looks at the subject from subject point of view and helps in gathering subjective

main approaches: inductive and deductive. Both these tools have unique features. Inductive
approach is the method in which scholar applies theories and models whereas deductive
approach is the tool in which scholar develops assumptions and test these hypothesis. In current
study individual has applied inductive approach (Zumitzavan and Michie, 2015). It was most
suitable for the present study, with the help of this inductive approach individual become able to
get reliable information about the topic. By using this inductive approach investigator has

the right candidate from the entire population who can give correct answers about the research
project. Sample size plays significance role in this respect. Scholar has selected 10 employees of
Black Penny restaurant UK as sample in the current project in order to identify impact of digital
technology on business growth and innovation (Borghoff and Pareschi, 2013). Use of random
sampling has helped in minimising biasness in research and gaining more effective or realistic
data from respondents.
Data Analyses
It is the next technique in which collected data is being analysed by the research in order to

current project scholar has applied thematic analyses tool. This has supported in presenting
