INTRODUCTION
Managing a small business is quite difficult task in comparison to big organisation as
they have huge workforce and resources to conduct business activities in effective manner to
attain desired results. There are large number of challenges are faced by small organisations due
to the presence of external factors and high competition in market. One of the effective medium
which helps the small organisation to build their organisational structure more strong is to
implement the digital technology within the organisation. There are large number of benefits
which are gathered by organisation like high market share, improved quality of products and
services, higher amount of production, increased amount of sales etc. McLaren Construction is
an award winning construction company which have many branches in and outside London.
In the present report explain about, aim and objectives of project, production of project
management plan, formulation of work breakdown structure and Gantt chart. Also, application of
qualitative and quantitative research method to meet out the aim and objectives of research and
recommendations which contributes to effectively adopt digital technology.

Digitisation is one of the important aspect which improves the internal strength of
organisation. It today's world, adopting of digital technology within the organisation is necessity
to improve their performance and attainment of the sustainability in their operations. There is
huge role is played by the digital technology in development of the different areas of
organisation through which competency is attained in their different functions. It is important for
the small organisations is to implement the new technologies and ideas to effectively compete in
the market in front of big competitors. This will provides the opportunity to the administration
department of the organisation is to effectively record the transactions and informations through
use of cloud technology. This makes the task of company easy to gather the information from
such different sources in appropriate manner which through which important conclusions are
drawn. On the other hand, there is huge support is provided by the digitisation in the
development of promotional activities through use of online platforms and social media. These
kind of promotional methods have wide range which helps to spread awareness among the
market about their different offerings. It contributes in enhancing their brand image, satisfaction

McLaren in one of the good construction organisation which provides their business
functions in and outside London. This organisation has good reputation in the market regarding
timely delivery of the outstanding projects. This organisation has specialisation in the
preparation of new, refurbishment and office fit out projects. It is observed that the structures of
organisation are very strong (Park and et. al., 2014). It is important for the organisation is to
continuously adopt the changes within the organisation which provides the opportunity to attain
competitiveness in market. There are large number of competitors are present in the market
which has direct negative impact upon their sales and profitability. It is observed that at present
McLaren uses outdated and non digitalised methods in the process of recording different
informations which impacts their decision-making capacity. So, it is highly significant for the
organisation is to implement new technology within the organisation to effectively deals with the
internal and external factors (Brown and Davis, 2013). The benefits which are derived from such
implementation is about increasing the quality of work, satisfaction of requirements of clients,
improves productivity, increase in the number of project taken by McLaren, high amount of
profits and building of goodwill in the market which ensures their sustainable growth in future
period of time.
Aim: The main aim of McLaren behind the adoption of digital technology is to address the
complex needs of both public and private which contributes in expansion of their business
operations to accommodate new work force. Through bring all such changes helps in

which help stakeholders in gain a better understanding of project. It is not a project schedule.
Project management plan is made up of three main things known as tasks, activities and
resources. Develop project management plan is very essential for developers and teams
members of project department. One of the main benefit of project management plan is that is
support in determine cost, time, scope, risk, communication and quality require during whole
project ans is essential for achieve set goals and objectives. This provide direction to manager
and at the same time save time and cost. Major elements of project management plan can be

process has to be performed. It can be further been performed in two ways that are

that has to be adopted (Tyner, 2014). On the other side, random sampling is performed in
which every entity of population has equal chance to get selected. It is very much
difficult for the researcher to examine several components of the population on which the
research work has to be carried out. Thus, this sampling method helps in solving such
