Introduction
Employee performance is the most important aspect by which organisation productivity
get impacted. This helps in generating more productivity and creating good and positive working
environment. But the major impact is through Brexit and the covid pandemic (Conca, Manta, and
Toma, 2021). As most of the food industries are being impacted by the pandemic because
customers are not purchasing food from them and they re not earning more. This report is
focusing on the UK food industry and it includes rationale and significance and literature review
and research methodology. Further, it includes time frame and conclusion of the report.
Significance of the topic
The significance of this topic is how the staff members fulfils the duties of their role and
complete the required tasks and behaves in the working environment. Employees performance is
most important to every organisation and it is helpful for all the stakeholders ion achieving their
organisational goals and objectives. Further, this report is based on the UK food industry in order
to determine the impact of employee performance on the working condition of the company and
the food industry (Tuomi, Tussyadiah, and Stienmetz, 2021). It is to develop the potential and
helps in improving the overall performance of the employees which can create positive impact
on the morale and quality of work which is produced within the working environment.
Purpose of the research
The purpose of conducting this research is that employees performance will affects the
company performance and helps in development of achievement of organisational goals and
objectives. As due to covid 19 pandemic, many of the businesses have been affected by the
pandemic and this directly reduces company performance and their productivity. Further, by this
employees are also get affected. Further, this research will helps in learning new skills to the
researcher such as communication skills and research skills which could helps in near future.

innermost concern within service industry. It includes basic factors, excitement factors and the
personal factor which can turn into dissatisfaction of the employees. The excitement factors
includes customer satisfaction and on the next hand personal factors includes satisfaction only
when the performance is high. Working condition in the food industry of UK is being affected by
the organisation performance and the various other factors like global pandemic and the Brexit
because these both have reduced number of customer who are purchasing their products and
services. On the next hand, if employees are not getting effective and positive working
environment, then this will be resulting in employees leaving from company. In relation with the
UK food industry, the Brexit has impacted the organisation and this has impacted the workforce
presenting in the working environment of food industry. So, it is important for the managers to
provide proper working environmental and condition to the employee and helps them in reducing
stress, enhancing their productivity and reduction of accidents at the workplace. Thus, it is said
that working condition of the organisation is directly impacting the employees productivity and
their potential. Further, it results in creating better outcomes and assumed to be a better place for
the organisations and to the customers. By seeing this organisation reputation get enhanced and
this develops their profitability as well (Güney, and Sangün, 2021). The importance of
employees satisfaction is that if employees are satisfied with the working environment of food
industry, then it may be resulting in achievement of the company goals and objectives and this
will helps in enhancing their productivity and reducing employees turnover ratio as well.

organisational culture. If employees is working in a positive working culture, then this could be
resulting in enhancing their productivity and potential. Further, the other factor which can impact
the employees working condition is covid 19 pandemic as many of people due this have left their
job and being given remote work in order to complete their work and reducing the impact of
pandemic. And by this many of the employees facing stress and they are working 24/7 hours at
home. The other factor is training and development- as of employees do not found more training
and development sessions according to their requirements, then this may resulting in reducing
their performance. Because an untrained employees could not be able to perform their job
effectively. The next factor is Brexit impact as in this employees are leaving from the
organisations and this will creating loss of food industry. So, this will be resulting in creating
employees reduction in productivity and they are getting demotivated among working
environmental and these are just affecting employees working conditions. The next factor which
can affect is employees wellness- if managers and organisation is providing proper working
environment to the employees and safety of their job to the employees, then this may resulting in
achievement of the organisational goals and also employees live in the organisation for longer
durations (Sandiford, and Green, 2021). By this employees working condition get impacted and
it results in retaining in the organisation for longer durations.
What could be a better strategy to improve employees working conditions?
According to Wu, and Hsiao, (2021) Some of the strategies which are being used in the
organisation and the food industry to improve employees working conditions are rethinking of
the design- as the design of the workplace always matters because employees needs to visit to
that place in which they re feeling comfortable and they could be stress free. So, managers of the
food industry organisation should have to provide proper working environment to the employee
so they they could feel comfortable and relax and then they could brings innovative and creative
thoughts. The other strategy is to embrace diversity in the working environment- when an
organisation is providing equality within men and women then this may resulting into the
creating of employees productivity and potential. In this men and women both feels comfortable
and they could develops new innovations and helps the company in developing their options and
creating opportunities for them. The other strategy which can be seen is leverage technology-
managers should have to provide training of the new technologies coming at the workplace so
that employees feels happy and they could not face any difficulty while using it in effective

are coming in the market and this will be developing employees potential and learn new skills
and information about the process should be used in the organisation.

Research philosophy is the one which is used by researcher to analyse data and evaluate
the information. This includes two methods positivism and interpretivism philosophy. In this
research, interpretivism philosophy is used to collect data and it is most effective in collecting
qualitative data and information. This will be helpful in achievement of research goals and
objectives.
Research approach
The research approach helps in achieving research objectives and this will be helpful in
collecting data and information. This includes two methods inductive and deductive method.
Within this investigation, inductive method is used to analyse and evaluate data and findings.
Further it is also dependent upon qualitative research.
Research methodology
Research method helps in development of gaining true and valid information by
analysing and gathering data and information (Grinberga-Zalite, Pilvere, and Kruzmetra, 2021).
It consist of two types of methods these are qualitative and quantitative research method.
Qualitative method is the one which helps in getting theoretical information by making use of
interview or observations. On the next hand, quantitative research involves numerical data and
information which uses graphs and charts to calculate the data and information. Within this
study, researcher is using qualitative research and this will be collected through interview
method and this helps in analysing and collecting data individually with the respondents.
Research strategy
Research strategy is the one which helps in gathering data and information. On the next
hand some of the strategies includes action research, experimental research, interview, case study
and literature review etc. within this research, researcher is using literature review and survey in
order to conduct this research and gather information. Also in survey, interview method is sued
because it collects information directly to respondents. Further, literature review is used for

collecting in depth knowledge about the topic (Gyapong, 2021). The other is survey which is
conducted through interview method and it will be helpful in collecting true and valid
information and provide true interpretations.
Sampling methods
The sample size selected within this method is 3 employees within of food industry
organisation. In this it includes two types of method. These are probabilist and non probabilist
method. Probabilistic method is used in this report and in this random sampling is taken to
conduct a survey. This will be helpful in providing equal opportunity to be selected within a
sample.
Ethical consideration
There are some of the ethical considerations which helps in development of the research
aim and objectives. Some of the ethics consideration followed by researcher is to take every
respondents consent in order to share their information (Singh, Slack, and Sharma, 2021). On the
next hand, researcher has no0t to do any bias with the results provides by respondents and this
provide valid results. Further, investigator should not disclose information in front of nay third
party and should provides results with true interpretation.
