aims and objectives can be studied effectively (Blankenship, 2014). Thus, using different
research tools and techniques in regard to enhance the validity and reliability of research.
Research design
Research design states to the overall strategy that helps in integrating the different
components of the research in order to ensure that the research problem is effectively addressed.
It is the blueprint for the collection, analysis and measurement of data. Also, in regard to
improve the validity and reliability of the study it helps in executing the research to attain desired
targets. There are different research design such as casual, exploratory and descriptive etc. In the
present study exploratory research design is applied so that new ideas and thoughts will be
explored in regard to assess the significance of employee empowerment and job satisfaction
among employees (Flick, 2011). Furthermore, it also assists in providing proper base to carry out
the whole study and thus attain desired results. Also, through implementing such design it helps
in focusing upon the selected research aims and objectives in regard to improve the reliability
and validity of the study.
Research approach
Research approach can be stated as the plans and procedures in order to carry out the
research that helps in taking broad assumptions to detailed methods of data collection, analysis
and interpretation. However, through implementing different tools and techniques it helps
researcher to make appropriate decisions in order to execute the study well. It consists of two
different types of approaches i.e. inductive and deductive. Inductive research helps in collecting
data in relation to the specific topic and thus helps in linking with the theory so that best results
can be attained (Srivastave, 2011). While, deductive research approach helps in adopting
effective social theory that impacts the information. Here, inductive research approach will be
implemented in order to execute the study in order to assess the employee empowerment and job
satisfaction within Hilton Hotel. Main focus behind selecting this research approach is to assess
particular results instead of generalized one. Because generalized results will not be required and
thus inductive approach has been adopted. Thus, the chosen approach helps in carrying out
suitable and valid research.
research tools and techniques in regard to enhance the validity and reliability of research.

Research philosophy
It is the belief regarding the way through which data about the phenomenon could be
collected, analyzed and used. Thus, through reviewing the proper research philosophy it helps in
assessing proper technique of data analysis and thus helps in achieving desired objectives. It
involves two different types of research philosophies such as positivism and interpretivism.
Positivism is the philosophy which is based upon the belief that the world is external and thus
single objective is being available for carrying out research phenomenon. While, interpretivism
is the philosophy which is interconnected with the belief that multiple realities are connected
with the system for executing proper study (Khan, 2011).
Here, in the present study interpretivism research philosophy has been adopted as it
assists in using the method where role of researcher is very limited to human actions and thus it
helps in supporting and evaluating the significance of employee empowerment and job
satisfaction within hotel industry. Main benefit of adopting this philosophy helps in evaluating
the variation within human and social actions and thus best results can be attained.
Research type
Research type can be defined as the type of research conducted in order to know the
nature of the study and thus using different tools and techniques so that best results can be
carried out. However, it is essential for researcher to assess different type of study is conducted
in order to take best decisions and make the study valid and reliable. It involves two different
types of studies i.e. qualitative and quantitative (Kuada, 2012). Qualitative research states that
the data is not of numeric terms but it is in the form of themes that has been done in order to
collect data. On the other hand, qualitative research is carried out in order to present the numeric
data and statistical tools so that data can be assessed in terms of mean, mode and median. In the
present study, both qualitative and quantitative research will be used i.e. mixed nature so that
best information can be gained.
Data collection
Data collection is the phenomenon that helps in collecting information which has been
gathered in order to reach towards valid conclusion through viewing the aims and objectives of
research. It involves two main sources of data collection i.e. primary and secondary. Primary
data collection source helps in collecting the information for the first time through carrying out
interview or questionnaire (Jogulu and Pansiri, 2011). While, secondary data source undertakes

online articles, newspapers, books and magazines etc. in order to use the data that has been
already published. In the current study, both primary as well as secondary data collection sources
has been used for collecting data. Questionnaire method has been used in order to collect primary
data and obtain the information related to employee empowerment and job satisfaction. On the
other hand, secondary data sources will be collected through using online journals, books,
newspapers and magazines etc.
Sampling
It is another crucial part of the research in which researcher is required to adopt
appropriate sample size so that best information can be collected in order to carry out the study.
However, sampling can be divided into two different parts i.e. probabilistic and non
probabilistic. Probabilistic sampling can be stated as the option in which there is a chance for
every option to get selected while using non probabilistic sampling it provides zero chance of
being selected (Kumar, 2010). Thus, in regard to carry out the research, sample size of 10
managers of Hilton hotel has been selected so that significance of employee empowerment upon
job satisfaction can be assessed. Moreover, purposive sampling technique will be used in order to
assess the main purpose of the study. Hence, the sample size selected and method used will help
in employing the best method so that desired aims and objectives can be attained.
DATA ANALYSIS
Analysis technique
In this part of the study, data has been analyzed in order to obtain best outcomes. It
consists of two data analysis techniques i.e. qualitative and quantitative. However, at the time of
conducting the research both the techniques will be used (Flick, 2011). Qualitative data will be
used through developing themes that will show the responses provided by the managers of hotel.
While, using qualitative techniques SPSS software will be used in order to bring best results.
Thus, using such method it helps in making the research suitable and reliable.
Ethical issues
It is essential for researcher to undertake corrective action so that challenges can be
overcome. Here, the information will be collected from manager of Hilton Hotel and thus
privacy issues might be faced. Therefore, it is significant for researcher to store and protect the
data effectively and thus parties using the data could not be hindered (Kuada, 2012).

Validity and reliability
Through carrying out the research, scholar faces both validity and reliability issues.
Therefore, it is essential for them to assess the information through both primary and secondary
sources and thus ascertain reliable data. Also, the sources that are used for collecting information
need to be authentic which will help in dealing with validity and reliability problems
