Case of Sydney”.
Justification of research question
The present research will focuses on providing knowledge regarding the positive influence of
electric vehicle on the transportation management system. It is because the estimation describes
that logistics activities are performed by using electric vehicle, it is due to the reason because this
provides various advantages such as reduce CO2 emissions and manage overall operations
(Shaukat et al., 2018). The research will focuses on the questions on finding the reasons and
causes for using vehicle and describing the effect of electric vehicle on the logistics management
pertaining of supply.
Therefore these research questions are associated with the research topic because this supports in
finding the main objective and aim of the study. This is due to the reason that it provides
information regarding the change as well as effects which electric vehicle brought in the
transportation management. It offers clear information regarding the relationship between
electric vehicles with the transportation management system. Furthermore, the estimation
revealed that electric vehicle gives several advantages such as reduction in the expenditure of
fuel, less breakdown. The research will particularly focuses on the logistics supply chain
management in Sydney.
Methodologies
The information regarding the findings of main causes for adopting electric vehicle is done by
using qualitative method in which thematic analysis is done through including existing set of
data. In this data collection various opinions and perception of the authors regarding the
advantages of electric vehicle is described.

In the analysis, it is revealed that secondary method will be used to gather the information about
finding the main cause for which the electric vehicle is adopted. In this various information is
gathered by including the existing data, the journals which are to be used in the study are
selected from the Google Scholar. The updated and new information will be gathered for this
research it is because the articles which are selected for the study will be published from the year
2018. The data analysis is done by adopting thematic analysis method in which various themes
are develop such as increase in electric vehicle, advantages of electric vehicle, majority of area in
which electric vehicle is used. This provides complete information regarding the reason and
purpose for which the electric vehicle is used.
Sampling
No sampling is used in this methodology it is because secondary method is used to identify the
number of major reasons for which electric vehicle is adopted.
Advantages of Methodology
The thematic analysis has various advantages which includes that it is flexible and considered
easy in finding more information regarding the particular themes that is for the present topic the
information about the benefits and majority of the reasons for which electric vehicle is used are
described. It also supports in getting more reliable information because of getting the information
from more of the authors who are in the favor and against of the subject matter (Teherani et al.,
2015). Furthermore, it also has various other advantages which includes that it provide
unanticipated insights by giving thick description of the data regarding the reasons of electric
vehicle. This supports in summarizing the important information into the main key themes so
that complete information is gathered which is related to the relevant objective.
Limitations of Methodology
The limitations of thematic analysis are that it provides the information regarding the broad data
which become difficult to understand the adequate information regarding the subject matter.
Therefore, sometimes it also creates misunderstanding about the major aspect of the information
which is to be focused so that important information will be gathered. This type of research is
highly subjective because through getting to the results that is to find the results of the study the

information (Percy et al., 2015). In this type of research no adequate numerical information is
received an situated and it does not structure the information about reason for using more electric
vehicle is described, this is because it only include superficial overview of the information. It
does not completely focuses on the particular context and sometimes provides less detailed
information.
Ethical consideration
The ethical consideration which is used when selecting the secondary type of data is that in this
no potential harm is provided to the individual subject. A complete review of the article is done
to get the whole information about the article which is relevant with the proposed research topic.
To maintain legality of the information the full reference of the information will be given to
provide complete knowledge about the article from which the content and information is taken.
Furthermore, carefulness’s principle is adopted while gathering the information regarding the

2. Type of data
For answering the effects of electric vehicle on logistics management pertaining to supply the
quantitative approach method will be used. Therefore, in this survey method is used to gather the
information from the respondents about the percentage of influence electric vehicle on the
transportation management system. In this primary research will be used because the
respondent’s opinions support in gathering valid information and helps in maintaining reliability
of the study. This is considered important step because the data collection supports in gathering
important data and helps in maintaining validity of the study.
The analysis the data is done through hypothesis testing, this helps in maintaining scientific
information and supports in gathering real information. This analysis give information that
whether the statement that “There is significant association or not” is accepted or rejected.
Through this it give information regarding the relationship among the two factor that is electric
vehicle and transportation management system.

The sample size which will be involved in the study is 20, which supports in gathering more
information about the electric vehicle and transportation management system. The information
collection is done from the logistics and transportation industry representative and other
members who can provide information about the benefits of electric vehicle in the logistics
activities in Sydney. This also gives information regarding the reasons of using electric vehicle.
This can reveal more information about the subject matter according to the needs and
requirement of the questions by which the objective of the study will be achieved. The simple
random sampling method will be used to involve every respondent in the study so that each can
provide response to the subject and can provide large number of information.
Advantages of Methodology
This method is considered suitable when the information is gathered from the high representative
this supports in gathering large number of data because of collecting the information from the
more number of respondents. This could be low cost and considered convenient method for
involving more information about the relationship between electric vehicle and logistics
management so that overall information about the transportation management system will be
revealed. Furthermore, this can supports in getting more precise results and it is considered better
statistical significance (Sovacool et al., 2018). So that validity of the study will be maintained by
testing adequate information of the factors.
Limitations
The limitations of the methodology include that it is considered inflexible design and not
appropriate for finding the issues and problems for the electric vehicle. This is also considered
difficult in finding and maintaining the questions according to the requirements and it become
complex to structure the appropriate questions regarding the electric vehicle in Sydney. This can
become the issue in gathering assistance and major issue in selecting this method is getting
corporation from the respondents to provide their response. It is the limitation because informed
consent is one of the major problems because of differences in the behavior of the respondents.
This will be time consuming because of involving the respondent and take survey by developing
the questions (Queirós et al., 2017).

For conducting the research, the some principles and ethical consideration is followed so that
legality will be maintained in performing the study. The research participants will not be harmed
while conducting the research (Marx et al., 2017). The informed consent should be taken from
the respondents before conducting the research. In this all the information that is objective of the
research, their role and information they are collecting are well-informed to the respondents in
the research. Furthermore, the privacy and confidentiality is maintained in the research that is
information of the respondents is managed in confidential manner.
3. Type of data
To manage the information and to gather more data about the reasons of electric vehicle and their
effects on the logistics management in Sydney primary research will be conducted. The personal
interview method will be used to gather more information about the electric vehicle. The
response of the respondents is written by describing their response regarding the method and
transport which is considered more sustainable by the respondents. In this the information is also
revealed regarding the environmental benefits and other operational advantages which electric
vehicle provide so that is give appropriate information about adopting the electric vehicle for
performing logistics activities in Sydney. The primary research will be used because the opinion
of the respondents provide adequate data so that the study will be performed in more effective
and leads in providing expected results (Queirós et al., 2017).
Sampling
The 5 respondents will be selected to gather the information from the industry representative so
that more data about the planning and activities which logistics and transportation industry
representative develop and take place so that information will be collected in-depth. This leads in
providing more feedback from the industry representative. This can help in accomplishing the
objective of the research by including the research questions and aspects so that the answer of the
proposed question will be received. The simple random sampling method will be used to gather
the information from every one and to provide chance to everyone to become the part of the
research.

Advantages of Methodology
The interview method is considered more suitable in the complex situations it is because in this
study the industry representative is included in providing the information about the subject
matter. It is considered more helpful in including in-depth information about the electric vehicle
and can include more respondents because of getting supplemented information through which
the objective of the study will be achieved. This is considered most appropriate method because
in this questions will be well-explained to the respondents due to including face to face
communication this can not include any confusion and miscommunication and supports in
understanding the topic more deeply. Furthermore, the interview can be taken in border sense by
including more aspects which is considered most appropriate for the study (Teherani et al.,
2015).
Limitations
This interview method is considered time consuming and costly because of communicating with
the logistics and transportation industry representative (Goertzen, 2017). This is considered
difficult this is due to the manner that this become difficult to manage the time and schedule
according to the suitability of the respondents, therefore it can raise mismanagement in the
research. Furthermore, the quality of the study will be based on the quality of the interviewer,
their respondents is important because the overall findings is based on their response to the
subject matter. This is also considered difficult to deal with the situation due to differences in the
behavior of the respondents so questions will be change according to their needs and
requirements so that no biasness will be created.
Ethical consideration
To maintain the activities in ethical manner and to include principles the various aspects has to
be followed by adopting interview method in the present research that is to understand the
information about the electric vehicle. The protection of the privacy will be maintained and it be
well ensured by the respondents which all are included in providing response. The prior consent
will be taken so that no confusion is created and objectives as well as other important
information are well informed to the respondents. Furthermore, the openness and carefulness’s
principles will be adopted to open all the information will be provided by the respondents
without manipulation.
