FAITH NATURING YOUR SOUL
I will pick Faith as one of the essentials of a heathy nurse who cares for the patients and
their wellbeing. Am choosing Faith because it is the base of everything starting from keeping
someone pure from evil things which mostly leads to human illness both physically and
mentally (Bermel, 2014). Faith from the point of view by all the believers’ cures someone
even before the nurses intervenes. As for Christians, there are many people like a woman
who was bleeding for 12 years when she met Jesus she got healed because of her faith.
As nurses, we have to treat people having the faith that they will get healed. We should
advise them accordingly on the earthly things that causes illness and tell them to avoid
(Atwood & Schooler, 2014). The patients should also cooperate and bear in their minds that
they will get healed when they fall sick (American Psychological Association, 2010).
Through this both the nurses will improve in the next five years and thus the faith will heal
several people who will be set as examples.
What I Want to Change
I want to change the perception that nurses have evil action towards the patients who they
attend to. A lot of people fail to get recovered easily because they fail to have faith to both the
nurses and also to the God (Atwood & Schooler, 2014). The whole society should understand
that before they plan to meet a nurse, they should first accept to their mind that they will get
well. Through that faith, the nurses job will be easier that will be just to treat and the patients’
faith cures them.
The world has been full of evil issues which makes people not to trust so easily. People
think that nurses have some actions which do not please the entire society. Some of things
they think of is that they are more corrupt such that they cannot be treated if they don’t have
the bribery money. I would like to teach the nurses that they should be the mirrors to the

patients and that they should stay always pure, have faith and work according to the general
regulations of nursing. Through this, there would be a good relation between the nurses,
patients and the community in general. The nurses should change their ways of living by
acting towards meeting the patients’ needs. They should stay clean, happy, have faith and
also be interactive to the society and the patients.
Reflection to My own Spirituality
Being spiritually active, I would take it as my responsibility to teach people living with
some complications in life. I will provide the supportive care especially to the people living
with HIV and AIDS, those who are homeless, those who have mental disorders and also
those living with disabilities. I would advise them that they strongly have faith and
confidence that their problems will come to an end (Jarvis, 2016). I would also tell them that
God will always be with them and that they consult the nurses in areas where they feel they
are not comfortable with. Those living with disabilities should avoid evil things like smoking
cigarettes, sniffing glues and taking alcohol in the name of reducing the stress (Ackley et al.,
2017). All this things increases the stresses and may shorten their life span. Instead they
should engage themselves in promoting the work of God like praying and worshipping’s
People living with AIDS have a lot of stress and are stigmatized in the society. Sometimes
they may feel lonely and discriminated which can reduce their life span. As a health officer, I
would take time to address this issues in the community through every means of
advertisement. I will teach the society on how they should provide care and support to the
less fortunate people. I will ensure that there is a good relationship between the less fortunate
people and the society. I will also advice the government to increase its support and invest
mostly in educating people on taking care of the disabilities. The most important thing of all
is to give them hope that they should stay long with their disabilities.

Changing the world of health starts with the cooperation between the nurses, patients, the
government and the society operating in (Jarvis, 2016). The society should understand its
rights toward health, the nurses should avoid undesirable actions and do their work seriously,
the patients should have faith and the government should intervene to enforce the laws
regarding the health sectors. If all this is met, the health sector can be one of the best
operating sectors in the word and would reduce the number of patients in the globe.
