business project. Further, the project will be based on activities which comprise choosing of
research methodologies, data collection, results, analysis and discussion. The discussion will be
based on graphical presentation which will assist in developing critical understanding over
research outcomes derived from primary data collection.

Approach and methodologies of research
Research philosophy: Philosophy in study helps the individual in deriving appropriate
phenomena or way of collecting and analysing information on the basis research objectives and
aim. There are generally two philosophies implied by scholar in different type of studies that is
interpretivism and positivism. The present study is subjective in nature therefore researcher will
incorporate use of interpretivism philosophy of study as it helps in developing understanding
over topic which of human interest.
Research approach: Approach in research methodology helps the investigator in
outlining planned procedure to conducting appropriate study. Generally there two common

approaches which are used by individual for business research project that is Inductive and
inductive. In this study where focus of scholar is on analysing impact of globalisation on market
performance of Lloyd bank, research will incorporate use of inductive approach where analysis
is done on the basis of evidence, models and theories.
Sampling: It is process of sorting few relevant sources or participant for gathering
information on research topic. It is done n the basis of two types that is probability and non
probability where in this investigation investigator will incorporate use of probability sampling
from where random sampling will be done and there will be 20 employees of Lloyd bank.
Data collection: It is the essential part of study on the basis of which analysis and
findings are outlined. There are two commonly use data collection met hod that is primary and
secondary where secondary helps' scholar in outlining past collected facts and findings while
primary helps in outlining the present views of people over chosen research topic. However,
investigator will make use of both information gathering method that is primary and secondary
where secondary information will be outline d in literature review by sorting information from
books, journals, article where primary will collected via interview on the basis of questionnaire.
Data Analysis: It is based on summarizing and outlining findings from collected data. It
is the most complex part of research where it is necessary for the investigator to outline every bit
of the information to draw unbiased discussion. Analysis is done via two methodologies of
research that is qualitative and quantitative. The present study is based on qualitative analysis
in which scholar will use of thematic analysis which will be presented with the help of graphic
presentation.

ACTIVITY 2
Appropriateness of research tools
Primary data collection Primary data is collected with the motive of outlining fresh and
current views of people over research topic. Interview is the best
way of managing discussion with sampled participants and
outlining their views of every question (Lajili, 2015). This data
collection method is appropriate because it promotes discussion
with respondents which helps in determining their interest
particular research area. Further, it promotes critical analysis which
assist scholar in outlining relevant outcomes from interview.
Secondary data collection It is based on past gathered information by different scholars and is
considered a valid because it offers wide perspective of research
topic. The secondary view will be outlined by scholar in literature
review which will assist in developing understanding over research
objectives which helps in gaining insights over research perspective
is beneficial for managing primary data collection process.
Cost Cost is a crucial aspect of research which helps the scholar in
managing smooth flow of study. Cost is required at every step of
business research project (Clark, 2014). Cost in research includes
cost for stationery, space for conducting interview, arrangement of
interview, purchase of books which are not available for free.
Further, cost will include travelling expenses and addition expense
of researcher which arise with time at time of researching and
analysing study.
Access Access is crucial part of study as it regulates smooth flow in data
collection and analysis process. Access in study is based on
permission for seeking secondary sources or gathering information
where it is necessary for the scholar to seek permission from
responsible authorities for accessing particular sources. In addition,
access includes approaching to respondents of primary data

collection. Access to research information play vital role in
managing smooth flow in data collection and analysis of business
research.
Ethical consideration Adhering to ethics is foremost concern of researcher where the
individual assures ethical way of collecting information and
analysing information (Falvey, Greenaway and Silva, 2018). Like
in this stud the scholar will seek permission from authorities for
Lloyd Bank for conducting interview of employee on impact of
globalisation on multinational banks and their market performance.
In addition, the researcher will focus on debriefing sampled
employee about interview question and will seek informed consent
of every participant in written forms. This will help the researcher
in protecting beliefs, morals ad value of individual respondents.
