Globalization plays an important role in the reduction of poverty and global inequality in
the past few decades. It is one of the most serious challenge that is faced by more than 1.2 billion
in different countries who live below the poverty line. It has been found that are large proportion
of the people that are living below the poverty line has been steadily declining over the passage
of time. It can be said that the integrated economies grows faster than the other countries and this
is possible through globalization that helps in reduction of poverty. The countries with low
income breaks the global market for the services and manufacturers. Moreover, the poor people
can move from the susceptibility of rural poverty that will help them in finding better jobs
(Mowforth and Munt 2015). The workers who possess similar skills are considered less
productive and these workers are not valuable by the company and they are provided with less
wages in the developing economies than the advanced countries. Globalization was followed by
economic specialization, poverty and inequalities within the countries. The impact of
globalization on poverty will also influence the economic status of different countries. Many
critics argue that income inequalities is inversely related with globalization in less developed
countries and these countries produce those goods that are used by the unskilled laborers. The
recent studies indicates the relationship between growth and inequality which will help in the
provision of important implications for the role of globalization in the distribution of poverty
nexus. The vicious circle of poverty and the Kuznets curve will explain the interrelationship
between income inequality and economic growth that is an important implication that is
associated with the role of globalization in the growth distributed poverty nexus (Ravindran
2014).
