Impact of ICT on daily lives
Information and Communication technology is having different advantages and it impacts
the daily lives of all the individual(Lee, Son and Kim, 2016). With the help of ICT, time and
money is saved as it become easy for an individual to move any information from one place to
another. ICT also have brought different people and also countries together at global level and it
is the cost effective method for many individuals as well as organisations. It also has helped in
bridging the cultural gap with the greater access to new technologies. However, the ICT also
leads to overriding cultures and also privacy issues. People have become more dependent on
these technologies for small to small reasons(Skryabin and et.al., 2015).
ICT have impacted the daily lives of the individuals as it connects people with the help of
different electronic communication like social networking websites, emails and also with video
conferencing(Stimmel, 2015). ICT have improved home entertainment with the rapid growth of
internet and social networks. It has impacted the lifestyle of individuals due to modern
technology and have made life easy going. It also has impacted the health industry with huge
improvement in healthcare that makes daily life of people more comfortable(Hilty and
Aebischer, 2015). ICT have impacted daily education life of students and have enabled them to
get empowered. It has also made the travelling of individuals and their family by making it more
convenient and quicker(Chen and Schulz, 2016). However, it has also impacted negatively as it
have resulted in economic consequences and loss of income for many lives. Job losses is major
impact as manual operations are replaced to automation. That is the reason ICT have impacted
the lives of people in both positive and negative ways.
