It can be stated that personal culture and experiences has a huge impact on a person's role
in health care profession (Flin, 2007). Principles and values of a person plays very important role
in determining his/her thinking and behavior (Ballatt and Campling, 2011). Further, values and
belief are considered as one of the most crucial element of personal culture. For me personal
culture is important because it helps me to understand clear difference between what is right and
what is wrong. My personal culture supports me in getting friendly with service user and deliver
more satisfactory services to users healthcare. Other than this, personal culture always
encourages me to make sure that no discrimination is created among service users and equality is
promoted in the best possible manner. The benefit of this is that it creates a sense of satisfaction
among service users and also helps in developing a positive work environment. My personal
culture also encourages me to respect opinions of other service provider and trust them. This has
resulted in developing a strong bond, coordination and delivering more satisfactory services to
patients.
However, I always take care of my professional duties and never seek for developing
very close relationship with patients as it can result in the producing negative outcome for all
staff members. My role as a health care professional is to understand need and requirements of
client and then deliver accurate, fast and satisfactory services on the basis of the same. Apart
from this, my role is to respect the views of other staff member and make sure that situations
such abuse, harm and discrimination does not exist within workplace. Furthermore, my culture
has taught me about the importance of team work and therefore I always take corrective
measures for promoting the same. The impact which such kind of practices have on other people
in health and social care is that they feel motivated and give their best to deliver effective
services.
