INTRODUCTION
Airline Industry is most commonly known for its commercial, general and military air transport, usually
faces uncontrollable risk. This industry deals in providing air-crafts and cargo services (Abdelghany and
Abdelghany, 2016). The issue selected in this project for airline industry is Terrorism as it adversely impact the
security services which alerts them to be aware of it. This is the major issue usually targeted to air-crafts as they are
not able to take help easily while travelling.

1. Describing critical issues which impact the air transport
The airline industry provides air transport services to its consumers for their migration from one place to
another. The terrorism is major issue faced by airline services it have disputed impacts the security screening
procedures through their violence form political and religious purpose. The cargo also face these terrorist issue by
stopping their sail on described destination. This issue hijacks the aircraft and cargo to fulfil their various demands
such as releasing terrorists, to capture the whole nation, etc. Terrorism not only affects the airline industry but it also
impact the whole nation as it is responsibility for government to deal with demands of terrorists. Nowadays, the
increase in terrorism affects the airline industry which nobody can ignore as it create negative impact by lose of
many living beings of nation (Belobaba, Odoni and Barnhart, 2015). These attacks of terrorists create negative
impact in the airline through declining their consumers booking flights which is impacted by decreasing in revenue.
The air transport is considered the most common attacking factor for the terrorists as it migrates from one nation to
another. The main reason for this is as the large number of people are helpless and can't afford safety measures
easily which is beneficial for terrorists.
2. Explain the most common selected issue which is essential to be studied for airline industry
The terrorism is described as to attacks the large number of population by affecting their freedom and
shooting or arresting them until fulfilling their demands. This is most commonly selected issue for airline industry as
they are highly affected by this major issue. This creates negative impact on air transport as it is hijacked by
terrorists which don't allow passengers to move and not communicate with each other. The terrorists attacks through
bombs, hijacking, shooting people, misbehave, no communication allowed, etc. It is essential to study as it provide
the knowledge about various circumstances and problems faced in aircraft and cargo ships. This analyse the change
in their revenue from previous to actual year. This also leads to determine the various safety measures which may be
taken for the security of people. It is increasing nowadays very badly which affects the population safety as they are
attacked by their negative roles (Ciliberto and Williams, 2014). It is essential to study the consequences on
passengers which affects their life adversely. This impacts the airline industry by reducing the trust, safety and
negative perception in mind of passengers which reduce their flight booking.
3. The reason to choose the issue which impacts air transport is explained with illustration
The reason to select this issue of terrorism for airline industry as nowadays it is increasing very badly
which have destroyed the freedom of passengers on its hijacking. This adversely impact by stopping the actual

destination of air transport to their desired landing. It affects the airline industry by reducing their national output
which increase stress and depression issues of passengers. The terrorism impacts the airline industry by reducing
their consumers and decrease the trust issues of passengers (Jung, Han and Oh, 2017). Many air-crafts were banned
due to this terrorism attacks. Some of these terrorism issues are illustrated as large number of people died when kiev
plane crashed on January 8, 2020. Buk missile shot down the Malaysia airlines Flight 17 on May 24, 2018. These
examples specifies that increasing attacks of terrorism affects the life of human beings in planes which leads in less
opting for travel. The airline industry is required to take necessary steps for the safety of passengers and position
their features to their target market which attracts them to travel with their air-crafts.
4. Analysing the affect of issue for future transport and it's impact on development of industry
The affect of terrorism for future transport of airline industry as the business enterprise become more
cautious and protective with the corrective measures for their travelling services. It usually take time for their
innovative ideas to protect passengers from terrorism until that airlines have to face weakening of flight demand and
minimisation of profits. This leads financial effect on aircraft because of terrorist attack which increase its cost of
repairing, bad image in front of its passengers, etc. The airline industry focus on factors in assessment of certain
features and provide safety gears to people while travelling to deal. The air-hostess and captains must be alert with
their confidential steps through their co-operative actions to deal with terrorism issues by contacting with political
leaders in safety of passengers. They should be able to take strong steps for the security and stand in support for
passengers by requesting terrorists in convincing. The airline industry must position their mind of passengers by
describing these features which attracts them for their safety measures (Zou and et.al., 2014). This issue leads to
develop future prominently by providing extra features to their consumers with more security at least cost with
qualitative facilities. The ship in-charge must be aware of the terrorists strategies and their planing strategies which
may affect the route of ship and take corrective measures to control it.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it have been concluded that airline industry is mostly affected by the terrorism
issue which adversely impacts the air transport. This interesting issue is essential to be studied as it determine
various strategies implied by the terrorists to affect the nation harmfully. The reason for this issue selection is to
examine the competitive strategies adopted by them as it impacts stability of the nation through air-craft and
shipping services of airline industry.
