According to Inozemtsev, (2022) main reason behind Ukrainian war is because of Ukrainian
revolution that was followed by the Russia’s annexation over the Crimea from Ukraine and also
because of Russia’s back step for separatist of Donetsk people’s republic and other Luhansk
people’s republic within war. Russia’s invasion over Ukraine has led to various seismic
repercussions, it imposed the challenges in global relationship.
Author Bluszcz and Valente, (2022) said that because of war UK has declared ban on
Russian goods, they have restricted delivery of Russian vessels, that have created several
challenges for oil and gas businesses. Oil and gas organisations are in under pressure from UK
governments to offload 20 percent of stake in Russian companies. However, author Bosse,
(2022) said that not only oil companies are affected other retail sector, finance sector is also
affected by war.
From the view point of Khalifa, (2022) UK imports the 13 percent of total fuel from Russia,
but it is found that somehow UK is less reliant to Russia for its direct supply of energy, but in
case of Europe they more reliant on Russia. Therefore, disruption within the energy supply to
Europe can affect the wholesale prices in UK.
