Task 1
Identify any risks to impartiality in this scenario. There may be more than one. For each
risk that you identify, suggest some ways that these risks to impartiality could be
minimized or eliminated.

Many people take advice from a specialist in a laboratory so that effective services would be
rendering. KhalDrogo is an owner of the laboratory and works as manager of such laboratory as
well. A race leads to hold every Saturday afternoon for enhancing awareness regarding horses.
Winner of such race secure various prizes and every person do their best to secure such a prize.
For making such race ethical, a sample of Horses urine is sent to the laboratory so that
interpretation can be made regarding the horses that are treated with any banned substances or
not. If specialist found any deviation in such sample then such candidate disqualifies
immediately and such position provided to second position horse.
During the last Saturday race, it was found that horse treated with a banned substance
“Fastrunner”. But such horse is related with a specialist uncle and the second horse is owned by
KhalDrogo and his brother. The situation is critical in front of specialist that what really need to
do. Here, chances or risk related with partiality is high. Following are some of the risk which
relates with impartiality:
One of a risk of impartiality is self-interest under which specialist found a blood
relationship. This creates chances of lack of fairness in the decision-making process.
Moreover, such individual will be not going to consider any ISO related with work as a
specialist. Moron, it is a specialist moral duty to treat each and every single individual
properly and equally. As per the ISO 17025, laboratory management is committed
towards impartiality (Standard, 2016).
Another risk is related to confidentiality where the laboratory needs to maintain
information of their customers private. As per the ISO/17025, confidentiality needs to
ensure at the time of testing (Impartiality and confidentiality, 2018). But in the present
